Great for reasonable price
I’ve not had a chance to use this yet. So can’t say anything about toughness or ability to hold an edge. From specs and other reviews it should be good.Good size, good weight, nice shape, good steel (AUS 8), good workmanship, good blade angle grinds, good edge sharpening (one area in curve with wire edge that was easily removed).Sheath better than most. But with 3 snaps not fast to open.Only real negative was scales were loose. But they were mounted with 2 Torx screws, so very easy to tighten if you have small Torx bits.Otherwise 5 stars and would recommend.

Will buy another in the future
I've been buying cold steel and other name brand knives off amazon lately and though factory seconds are expected from these vendors they've been coming in with terrible conditions. After a months of returning knives I gave up. If you're looking for a great tool or just for the sake of getting into kukri I'd start off with this. It's not authentic so I'm not afraid to abuse it and I know it can take the abuse since it's built like a tank. The handle has plenty room for big hands and it's a very comfortable grip just a lil slippery. Maybe some hockey tape will do. I used sniperskin and it came out perfect. A lil ghetto but functions perfectly for chopping wood or other types of hard labor or even martial arts because of how good it feels in the hand. I'm not an expert in martial arts so I couldn't say but for around $43 it's a steal. It also looks amazing.

Holds an edge like you wouldn't believe
I'm very impressed. If you want a simple but great fighting knife this is an awesome choice. I have seen better build quality, there's a slight pit deformation in the blade but very minor, and the handle on my pommel doesn't exactly meet up leaving a tiny gap under the handle. These imperfections are easily forgotten after taking it out all day to build a bushcraft style shelter, and coming home to check the edge. Still slices through paper really nice after a day of chopping, scraping and widdling. Love the steel and the knife has a healthy heft to it. Plus the black finish looks bad**s

Nice feel and fit.
Got out and tried it and already chipped the edge by hitting a stone.I'm hoping I'll be able to give the blade a better edge.Over all I like the feel and swing of this blade;although it packs a little weight carrying;the side entry is a nice feature.

Can't wait to take it camping
This is a huge knife. Extremely well-made, Sharp right out of the box. Great Scabbard made out of high-quality leather. I hope to get a lot of use out of it.

Fantastic machete for the price, But not really a Kukri
Pros: solid metal machete style blade. The weight is good for chopping, the anti rust black coloring looks great and is quite functional. The wooden handle is decent, and while not perfect, it’s a relatively inexpensive price for a solid piece of metal shaped perfectly.Cons: the sheath is trash. Mine arrived in perfect condition, but anyone with eyes can see that it is meant for storage and not for the field. Also the steel, while a fairly decent strength, seems to sharpen like a graham cracker. It came with a small sharpened edge, but the bevel is like an inch away for the actual edge, making it look a little wonky.

great blade...bad handle
great, durable blade that holds an edge...but horrible handle. I had to dremel it down to put some contours and reduce the size. Handle was also loose out of the box.

Liked the knife but broke at the neck while chopping
I really liked the weight and the sheath that came with it. I thought I would get to use it for a long time.Unfortunately it broke not to long after I started using it. I think it may be faulty heat treat so I wont be using AUS 8 steel anymore. I use the sheath for another Kukri I bought from Nepal which is made of spring steel. So I ended with a 40 dollar sheath. Threw the knife away. Lesson learned. Buy a durable steel.
