Interesting, informative text
I found this book really interesting and often times funny. As someone who has a genuine interest in idioms and sayings from all over the world, the book is a valuable addition to my arsenal. I love the honesty of the author who admits she can’t be sure of some of the information presented – that is understandable. I think the accompanying art adds an element of fun to the book – well appreciated.

Fun Insights, But Lacking Depth
What Does that Mean? is an intriguing book that dives into the origins of common idioms and expressions we often use without a second thought. It’s fascinating to discover the history behind phrases like "pulling someone's leg" or "when pigs fly." The book serves as a light, enjoyable read, perfect for those curious about language. However, I found that while the content was interesting, it didn’t go much beyond what you could easily find with a quick Google search. Some of the explanations could have been enriched with more detailed historical context, which would have made the book more engaging. Overall, it's a fun read, but it left me wanting a bit more depth.
