If you have kidney failure, consult a doctor before using any salt substitute. For the rest of us, using a product like this gives you a dose of potassium, about what you would get from a banana. It's potassium salt. If you still eat salt in your diet, you may not like this stuff, because it's a little different in taste. If you are on a very strict no-salt diet, it will taste fine. I do not eat salt at all, as I can control my high blood pressure without drugs, by simply avoiding all salt. Because I never eat any salt at all, this product is a nice addition to certain foods. I also use it to bake bread. I use about half as much of My Salt as I would normally use regular salt in the recipe. The bread turns out great every time.

Not very strong tasting. Have to use more than you would have with regular salt. But taste great and definitely worth lowering your sodium

It works and it definitely adds that much needed salt like flavor if you are avoiding salt. I do find it to have a bit of an after taste - slightly strange. But it’s better than other salt alternatives I have found.

First time I used it, i seasoned scrambled eggs and used about as much as I would have used salt. They tasted fine...for a few seconds. Then the awful aftertaste kicked in. After some trial and error I now use about a third as much, and a very little Tobasco sauce, and the eggs taste fine. Still getting used to it for other dishes. Some Mrs. Dash seasoning helps too.

Understanding that everyone's taste is different, I must say this brand does not suit me. The taste does not say salt but it says bitter zing. I will not use any more of it.

It satisfied my needs since I am reducing my salt intake. Will wait for several weeks and months to note the effect.

I sprinkled it on my food after it’s cooked and it really helps me not to miss real salt

If you're looking for a salt substitute, this is not it! It tastes bad and ruined a beautiful chicken breast because I "salted" with Mysalt. Tossed the bottle in the trash.
