Extremely happy with the product. No more messy compost bins

These food bags are convenient for collecting food waste in the kitchen. They have solved the problem we had: trying –unsuccessfully– to keep various food waste containers clean and odour-free in the kitchen. The compostable paper bags solve the problem - and also keep our larger outdoor container clean - i.e. the container that is left out on the road for the local council ('Gemeente' in the Netherlands)). Otherwise that container also gets filthy. It is impressive that the paper does not leak liquids. The flap for fastening the bags could be improved to make it a bit easier to close.

These are a very good way to collect veg peel etc for the compost bin. I thought they might go soggy but they don't. They aren't huge and we find that we need a new bag every couple of days, depends how much veg and fruit etc you eat I suppose. Using these bags is much cleaner than having a bin, no slimy mess to wash out. This isn't the cheapest way to compost waste but as it's so easy and clean we will definitely be buying more when this batch is used.

I was a bit sceptical that these bags would work but took a chance after reading the other reviews and I'm glad I did; they are brilliant and don't smell at all even after 3 days! We're using them for our own compost bin rather than food waste collection and this has got to be easier than the plastic/metal caddies you have to wash out plus these provide the cardboard that is recommended for compost composition - win win!

Highly recommend these are strong, robust, practical bags and they fit a lot in. Bought them to dispose of home compostable items rather than other food items that I put in the council supplied food caddy (like meat, bread, cooked veg and sauces that might attract vermin to my compost heap). They soak up liquids and smells, unlike the plastic caddy liners that stink up the kitchen this time of year. Very pleased with them.

Much nicer to use than the cornstarch bags, which almost always split before I got them fully out the canister (and not washing and drying the canister thoroughly means the next bag will disintegrate even quicker). They're cardboard and paper, so they'll compost and add a bit more brown waste to the heap. When folded over, they do a good job of containing any smells, at least for the few days it takes to fill one.

Great alternative to food caddy bins with liners - I live with teenage boys who always missed the liner and chucked stuff in - no more slimey bin juice, no smell, no cleaning disgusting caddy - just open bag/close bag - I get liners for my caddy free from my council but I choose to buy these instead as they save me time and don't have the yuck factor!

These bags are fantastic! No more smelly, leaky, sweaty food bags which split on the way to the bin. The Obeo bag is smaller than the food bin on the worktop but holds more; the bag stays open so you can throw peelings and tea-bags in without any hassle; its easy to just pick up and take to the bin. We love them in our house!
