We live right on the seashore and rats are a regular pest. After a couple of them got into the loft I made my mind up to take drastic action. We have lots of ducks and other animals so the remedy had to spare them any danger. I looked online after trying a few quite useless poisons and found Tomcat II. We bought some lockable bait boxes and set them out with the Tomcat. We also flung one or two blocks into the loft where the rats had been capering. Within 24 hours, there was no noise from the loft and within 4 days, there were no sightings of them in the garden. After 6 months we saw signs again and repeated the process and once more they were gone. Every few weeks we check the bait boxes and if they are empty we replenish them.One thing we have noticed is that the attractant material on the blocks goes off over time and during our latest infestation the rats are not touching the bait. To be fair, we bought a huge bucket of the staff 5 or 6 years ago and quite simply that bait was no use. I expect that the poison itself is still potent but the various tasty stuff for rodents doesn't last for ever. I am waiting for our delivery, this time in a somewhat smaller container of 1.5kg. Be sure, this stuff works but ALWAYS use rubber gloves (we use medical type disposable kind). make sure you use a bait box and place the box near a wall or in bushes. You should weight the box down with a stone lest the wind blows it away and poison gets out.People may not believe it but in their juvenile state, rats are quite cute but their cuteness masks a vicious demeanor. One actually caught one of my ducks by the tail feathers and I only narrowly was able to save her. When they get to full adult size they are dangerous and will leap at you if threatened. They also spread dreadful diseases such as Weil's Disease that kills humans and don't forget where the Great Plague came from!In conclusion, this is the best rodentiside out there, nothing else works as well and as quickly. The dead rats will literally dissolve and turn to dust and you are unlikely to see any remains.

After recent floods it became apparent that some rats and mice had moved into some of our outbuilding. A friend recommended Tomcat Rat Poison Blocks so we went onto Amazon and purchased a tub of them.I put the blocks into a plastic bait box taking care to wear gloves as someone said rats could easily smell human scent.It took a few days for the rodents to get use to the boxes but then all the bait got eaten very quickly.Its now been 2 weeks since we started using this Tomcat Rat and Mouse Bait but it seems that all the rodents have been killed or have moved out as we can find no more evidence of them in any of our sheds or outbuildings.It has been great to use a product that actually works and I cant recommend it highly enough 5 stars.

I have bought two lots of this now after having had a rat problem for many months in outbuildings and then in our loft. Nothing else that we bought worked at all, we might as well have been feeding them pet shop yummy rat food quite honestly! Then we tried Tomcat 2 after reading good reviews. We put down half the blocks throughout our loft (nowhere else because of dogs and cats) the next day it was all gone, dragged back to hiding places I suppose, same again the next day. We started noticing a drop in activity after about five or six days, not nearly so much running about on the ceiling, now after three weeks we have no rats, no activity, no new droppings - BRILLIANT :-D

rats were under our floorboards, so we places the blocks under there, checking on them twice a day, If the blockes were gone we put more down, we put about 4 -5 down each time soon they stopped taking them and all was quite, no more scurring sounds or chewing on our floor joists in the middle of the night, Tomcat worked perfectly, no bad smell as the rat has obviously decomposed, however I did get some flies for 3 days so remember to buy some fly spray to be ready for them just in case

I have used wax blocks before, but not this make. in the past the blocks have worked quickly but these seem to be useless.On the box It states for none professional use only. on the advert is states for professional use what is it?I have had a mouse under my bedroom floor nibbling away at these blocks for over a week, with no sign of ever giving up. I think these are a watered down domestic version of the real thing. No good at all.

Took a while for our guests to enjoy this treat, but we have killed around 4 with this. Always wear gloves and try a different area along known runs. The rats are wary, one tunneled under the bait satation, maybe it's dead friend put it off. Keep well too with out breaking up. We put 3 blocks in each bait station. We did have a lot of rats from chickens and fields nearby.

i put this down for a week where I had seen loads of mice and rats. They wolfed it down but I had to keep putting out more. After about two weeks the bait stopped going and i haven't seen any more little friends. I hate to kill anything but these were close to the house. It works.
