Be patient and most important of all . . . Enjoy yourself. ✨❤️✨🙏🤩
It’s a great little project for my 91 year old mother and her caregiver to peruse about to complete and myself, her daughter as well! It brings fond memories for her when she was young. It is also good eye and hand coordination too. It’s of two beach 🏖️ chairs & umbrella in the sand at the beach. Beautiful 🤩 Thank You

Love the premise, hate the cost.
Too bad a puzzle for adults with cognitive challenges is priced so high. But Mom needed a lower piece count immediately after an injury so we broke down and got a few.

Beautiful puzzle, many thoughtful, well designed ways to use it
Let me tell you, when reviewing products there are so many garbagey or mediocre items you see. I saw this puzzle a few times and considered reviewing it because I work with the elderly and it seemed useful for them, but took my slow time about it because somehow I imagined it would be flimsy and overpriced. The Keeping Busy puzzle is NOTHING like that! Starting with an intelligible brand name and logo, the box is beautiful - sturdy and glossy. The puzzle itself is the same - plus it has a reverse side that can be played with by matching the color dots, or just the outline. In other words, when I opened the package, I thought - wow! This would make a beautiful gift! But the kicker is how much thought and care went into designing the puzzle. As a psychologist, I really appreciate that the pieces are large and well constructed and the glossy finish is easy to wipe down. But the various ways to play are genius! It makes it so the puzzle can be used by Oder adults at various levels of cognitive abilities or cognitive decline. If the image is too busy, flip it over and use just the white side and the lines. If that’s too challenging, match the colored dots. There are included glossy guide sheets for all of the different versions of play.Besides, the instruction sheet is very useful and spells out the different ways to use it, gives ideas about discussion questions to make the activity more enriching and interactive, and is glossy/easy to wipe too! Great in a situation where someone has lost some motor control and might spill something on it or in group home settings where multiple people might be using it - you can even wipe everything that’s included with antiviral wipes. The color coded bags are also great for play and storage. Overall a lovely surprise. Having seen what it is, I think the price of $20-25 if very fair. For inclusion purposes I wouldn’t want to see it go higher than that.I am very impressed with this company and appreciate the various puzzle backgrounds they started offering - you can match them to an elderly person’s interests, or have multiples to keep them interested.I am checking out their other products and already found a word game for seniors I will be purchasing from them too. I highly recommend their puzzles.By the way they would be perfect for a “Montessori for Dementia” setting as well.

Nice puzzle, good quality but cuts aren't unique enough
I got this puzzle for my developmentally disabled stepson -- so my use case is a little off book. My stepson loves puzzles. He has a whole stack of puzzles 35-45pc puzzles made for seniors with dementia. He never tires of putting together the same puzzles over and over but I thought it would be fun for Santa to bring him a new one. He was delighted and got right to work.He insists on doing the puzzles himself. He goes more by the shape of the pieces than the picture when assembling. For him, the picture is the prize for his hard work. That being said, if he can get a piece to fit, that's all that matters. He enjoyed putting this puzzle together but there was one piece of the umbrella that he was able to put in upside down. It wasn't a great fit but it did fit.

Very nicely finished and well thought out product
I unfortunately won't be able to get a hands-on test of this with my mother-in-law for 2 more months, but I was really impressed with the quality of this product. Everything feels premium-ly printed and laminated for longevity. There's a nice instruction pamphlet that walks through the various ways to assemble the puzzle, ie comparing it to the color photo, comparing it only to the outlines of the pieces, etc. which allows you to adjust the difficulty to fit the user. It seems like a decent way to teach someone the different ways to approach a puzzle, as well, so might even be useful for a child.I also think I noticed what appears to be a deliberate attempt to have similar images in the photo that are just slightly different, which I suspect is to have the user recognize subtle differences. For instance, the two beach chairs are essentially identical but with red and white stripes on one and red and off-white stripes on the other. Or the palm trees in one corner seem to have mostly horizontal veining while in the other corner they are mostly vertical veining. So, there aren't really any areas intended to trick the person assembling it, but rather offering the user easy reason as to which of the similar spots they are looking at.I think this will be perfect for my mother-in-law who is in the beginning stages of dementia/Alzheimer's and who had a noticeably difficult time trying to assemble a ~150 piece puzzle previously, even with my wife trying to guide her. The fact that the puzzle fits inside the box will help her as well since with the regular puzzle she had a hard time figuring out the border.
