I like the aged bourbon!!!
I cane chairs. For over 50 years I was able to buy a stain made solely for cane but they stopped making it. Finding something that works has been very difficult because the cane has a very non porous surface and doesn’t absorb along it hard to match a previous color that has aged or been stained in the past. ZAR was recommended and I've been using it with pretty satisfactory results. I just need to try to get the color to go on without streaking. It’s a unusual use for your stain that’s for sure

We had a hard time matching previously stained wood as we could not find this brand in our local stores. It was recommended by our contractor. The stain seems to be a little thicker than some other brands, and applies well. I was extremely happy with the way it matched older wood.
