If you need glasses for distance (once you get to "the certain age"), look for sun readers instead. I need +1 to see street names clearly, so I get a few sun readers with that strength. It works great, I have them in the house, in the car, and in a pocket somewhere,... These are not too dark, just enough to relax the eyes. The brown tint is perfect for night driving - it acts like polarized lenses. Just ensure they will fit your face - measure the bridge length and all other measurements. These glasses were my exact size, so they fit me perfectly.

Extremely flimsy and cheaply made. One pair came with a broken arm and the other 2I am afraid to use because they are so flimsy would not recommend or buy again.
