Replaced original on my Farmall H.This unit is lighter and makes a lot of noise when engaged. The original was 6 volt but it lasted for over 20 years after we converted to 12.This is rated for 12 volt.It’s working good now but I am concerned about the quality; time will tell.

Starter seems fine, no problems so far & price was less than half of the competitors

It was a starter nothing to dislike. It started the tractor like it was suppose to

Seems fine so far, cranks the engine fine. The nose cone edges are really rough and not very tidy but overall it works. No oil cups or anything, they have plugs in those spots.

There is an open hole to lubricate the bushing and armature shaft at the back of the starting motor but the hole is open to the elements. The original starter motor end plate appears to be the same except with a cover over the oil hole. I might exchange the old starter end plate with the one which came on the starter. The old endplate will need a new bushing and the wires and brushes from the new starter.The starter works great and spins the engine great for starting with 6 volt system.

I have purchased 3 of these starters now, 2 for farmall m’s and 1 for an H. All I use in 12v, and no issues so far. Have had the other 2 for a few years now.
