Predator: The Original Comics Series - Concrete Jungle and Other Stories Hardcover – 27 Jun. 2017

There's been an influx of reprints of '90's classic comics recently which has filled me with a huge sense of nostalgia!There have been 3 Hard Cover reprints recently. 2 Hard Cover volumes of the original Aliens comics which are beautifully presented and look fabulous on the shelves but if I'm honest both the artwork & writing is hit and miss... Predator on the other hand is every bit as good as I remember. No rose tinted glasses on this one. The presentation is beautiful with the oversized HC format and metallic red page edging! The artwork is consistently fantastic and unlike the Aliens books, the stories are coherent and follow the same timeline!The stories all centre around Dutch Schaefer's brother, a police detective who keeps getting dragged into the hunt by both the Predators and the shadowy General Phillips. I can't remember where these comics originally ended but I'm hoping for another volume of this to hit the shelves in the near future!

I remember reading this comic series when it first came out.and it's still as great as I remember. Now in a lovely big book brilliant!

Hi, this is a collection and a reprint of the classic Dark Horse comic book Concrete Jungle, Cold War and Dark River. The artwork is terrific as it befits the period and is shameless 1980's/1990's espousing masculinity, buxom women cradling firearms, dreadlocked bad guys and, of course, the Yautja cutting a swathe through all of them. The collected stories are a 3-part story that features Schaeff and his partner trying in vain to not only solve an alien incursion in LA but also trying to uncover what became of Dutch after the Val Verde incident. I will leave it up to you to determine whether you are provided with the answers you're looking for, but suffice it to say, this is an excellent special edition deluxe re-print.
