Little Friends Grosvenor Rat and Hamster Cage with Wooden Shelf and Ladder, Large, 78 x 48 x 36 cm, Black

Bought 3 floors. Overall bigger in person, perfect for groups of 4-6 mice, 1 or 2 rats. I wouldn't recommend for hamsters as such due to the height and hamsters arnt adapted climbers. Alot of people say the assembly is hard and to me its fairly easy, comes apart from the base tray, 4 side pieces, 8 corner connectors, 4 connections for putting together the sides and the lid.Love the big shelves provides more roaming space and saftey from the height, didnt construct it exactly as it was meant to be and made the shelves more higher. I would not recommend buying this cage as a stand alone for the enrichment and shelving i would buy lots more shelves and hammock and ropes to support the height and reduce chances of your pet falling and make use of the space. The bars on the lid are wider than the bars on the sides which i am cautious mice could squeeze through.On arrival: Only the wheel was cracked but i wasn't planning on using it anyway. Everything else was fine but the bars were chipping paint of in some areas but im not too bothered. Doors were loose just had to bend the latch so the doors didn't fall open. Cage is impractical to clean, top is very large and heavy to take on and off every week or every few days to clean the tray. Would recommend A DIY door to put on thats large so you can clean the tray without removing the top.

Brilliant cage for our hamster, it's bigger than I thought it would be but that isn't a negative thing, fits lots of toys and nibbley things in there to keep him entertained and lots of room for him to run around. Only slight negative I would say is the wheel is abit small for him but will see how he goes with it. Easy to assemble I managed to do it on my own without the husbands help. All in all a great cage would recommend 👌

A pretty decent cage if I say so myself! I had no issues with delivery, it came all in one piece, and was pretty easy to put together. It's sturdy, the base is deep which allows for either a lot of sawdust/whatever shavings you use OR for a small amount which would prevent your little furry friend from pushing it out of the bars.My few issues are 1. the two clips on the side are pretty... loose. They don't really hold the cage together at all, which is not much of an issue for me because my hamster is not the child of the Hulk, but for some people I can see it could create a bothersome situation.Then there's 2. the ladder, it's actually too smooth for my hamster to walk up it, he slips down and eventually has to climb the bars to get up onto the little wooden platform. I could probably sand it down or something to make it rougher but he manages, somehow.3. The wooden platform itself.. frankly it's a pain. It's difficult to get it onto the bars correctly, and once it's actually on them it's pretty hard to get it off without hurting yourself. And a tip to anyone, don't give your pet in this cage fresh strawberries ON the wooden platform or, like me, you'll end up with tiny red footprints resembling blood being trailed behind your hamster, and they will NEVER come off. Ever. Trust meOther than those few things, it's decent at least. It'll get the job done, the bars and roof come off super easy in one piece when you need to clean the base, and the entire roof opens up instead of a tiny little door for your hamster to learn how to open, which makes picking up your hammy easy peasy, not to mention it's so roomy for many toys!! Though the wheel and house are pretty much too small for syrians, and my ham actually ripped the house apart on purpose and it can be a bit sharp around the edges, so I took it out. Only keep the wheel if you have tiny tiny rodents.

I looked at soo many cages before I chose this one. I am really happy with it for Egon my Syrian hamster.It is a great size for him, plenty of floor space and general space galore. I was attracted to the fact it was nice and neutral looking and not a garish colour like some. Super easy to put together and once together nice and sturdy.The base has some depth for bedding and enough room for a flying saucer wheel which I really wanted to add (30cm so takes some space up!) I love the wooden shelves, I do have a concern of them over time so I have personally laid some tiles on them in main eating areas etc. He can easily use the ladders and navigate the cage. There is so much room to change and add (his cage will evolve over time for sure)If I wanted to be fussy I could say I'd like larger front access door but it has what it states it has and works for the purpose. It has the top access for cleaning and taking bits of to clean. I did have to bend the latch slightly but such a tiny job, just made it a bit tougher to open as was a bit loose. To clean I just pop whole top off which is easy enough to do.I would give 4.5 stars if I could only as I wasn't impressed by the wheels supplied and house as they were small. The house is perfect for a dwarf hamster but wheels even too small for them in my opinion. I would rather pay slightly less and not have them added :) but I did buy for the cage not the accessories!Delivery was great and product packaged well and complete. Overall super happy and would recommend :)

Cage has a very attractive appearance and so far has been really enjoyed by my hamster who kept chewing through her bin cage!

My 6 month old dwarf hamster, Lili, is in HEAVEN with this new Grosvenor cage that was shipped to me by Amazon UK to America in 4 days! I assembled it in about 20 minutes. You have to push the bars hard so they click, then everything is perfect. This is the most beautiful cage ever! It is 30 x 18 x 14 inches. That is 540 square inches of floor space. The second floor platform is 10 x 8 x 18 inches or close to 180 square inches of additional floor space. The base is 5 inches deep, for lots of bedding. My hamster is estatic! She is jumping off the platform for fun as well. Thank you for designing such a beautiful cage!

Facilissima da montare e molto bella nella sua semplicità.

Es fácil de montar y una vez montada es segura para el hamster. La casita y la rueda son pequeños para hámster sirio. Para hamster ruso y roborowski sí van bien.Entre la escalera y el piso de arriba queda un hueco y ahí he puesto un cartón para que mi hámster no se haga daño ni se le enganche una patita. La jaula se segura, el hamster no se escapará pero no dejéis nunca la puerta de arriba abierta si no estáis delante porque el hámster trepa por los barrotes y se escaparía. Recomiendo la jaula. A nivel de estética la jaula es preciosa en negro (los hámsters no distinguen colores, no le afecta). Saludos
