Sad but amazing
Read with my 13 and 15 year old boys. Really good story and solid basketball action. Highly recommended. A lot of expletives. But not offensive.

Amazing book
It's actually crazy how good this book is. I read it for summer reading and I fell in love with it.

Good Story but....
I ordered this book for my teens summer reading for school. Although the story line is good, I am very disappointed by the author's need to use the " F " word so much through out the book. I think you can still get the point across without so much of that.

Volponi is a big hit
I bought this book for my high school Literacy class I teach. The kids are really enjoying the Volponi books. They are high interest for unmotivated high school readers.

Amazing
It is a textbook about basketball, betrayal, and murder. I would hate to be in Mackey's position. I would highly recommend this book

Excellent Suspense with some profanity
My son read this for his school project. The book has some profanity but the storyline is enticing. Characters jump off the book with author's vivid portrayal. Interplay between the characters are pretty realistic and understandable. The whole book takes place in one champion playoff in Rucker Park in Harlem. Readers learn the story from flashbacks that is mixed with different character's monologues. Interesting writing style. My son who is usually not an avid reader finished the book in 3 days. He said he could not put it down until he finds out who is the murderer. Good read for older kids, probably high school and above. Parental permission and supervision recommended.
