Well Made but not Perfect
You install this the same way you install a lens filter, you screw it on. And it will screw onto you lens filter if it has adequate threads with no problem. You have to set it by eye once screwed on but it has a lock ring once you get it set. But on my 16-50mm lens it intrudes significantly into the picture at the widest settings so I can't use it as it is. But I will likely try to trim the petals of the shade to see if I can cure that problem since I do otherwise like this shade. I have found no other shade available for my particular lens and the price is right.

Excellent Hood (as far as screw in hoods go)
Personally, I LOVE this hood. It screws in nicely.. the only downfall I can see is that it has to go on your lens after any filter you may be using. This makes changing filters a bit more time consuming. Not a big deal in my situation.I gave it 5 stars for a sharp, easy to install hood. Included a picture of the hood and filter installed on my Canon ES 50mm f/1.8.

I found the Mennon DC-sn 52 lens hood easy to use. The hood lived up to the the good reviews I read about it. Amazon always comes through with hard to find products. It they don't carry it they let us know who has the product available. My choice is to purchase directly from Amazon- I can always count on them. Thanks, Linda Kay Isbell

I'll just give it the five stars I trust everyone truthfully rated it, and ask my question. Is this lens compatible with the Nikon D3100 18-55mm Nikor lens? I have been searching all over only to find poorly reviewed tulip hoods. This one looks like the best pick, but I need to know if it's compatible with Nikon cameras before I buy it. I'm mainly seeing Canon reviews and pictures.Thanks!

This lens hood seems well made,fits good,and its center snap cap is a plus.Works and looks good on a canon 50mm/1.8 lens.Can't go wrong for the price.
