It is of good quality. It is soft and not like that scratchy material. It is long and dragged the grown but I am only 5ft3. The clasp is nice and very sturdy. I am large around the neck but not to snug and comfortable to wear. It kept me warm as it was a little chilly this Halloween. It is not to thin but no to heavy either.

Used this cloak as a base for a hobbit costume for a friend's LotR 33rd year birthday party (hobbit coming of age). Was sufficiently oversized for maximum size contrast. Quality decent given the price. Probably won't hold up to significant environmental stress but great for the occasional costume. Got lots of compliments at the gathering. The large size also allowed me to shield friends from the stray cold breeze at the outdoor event.

The velvet is lightweight but not so thin as to rip easily. Fun to wear. Seams are straight and sewn well.Clasp is sturdy. Should last a very long time. Love it and it was better than I expected. Also arrived well ahead of schedule.

For reference, I am 5'3, 205 pounds, 49 inches around the chest. I purchased the cloak in green. It fits perfectly. It drags on the ground, but darling, who doesn't want a cloak that sweeps the floor? Otherwise, you'ed buy a poncho!The color looks exactly like the picture. The clasp at the neck is actually some type of metal, so it feels so secure. I was afraid that the cloak was going to feel scratchy and cheap, but it's actually soft, and I dare I say it, feels slightly luxurious. The velvet martial works really well.My only con to this cloak is, the seams. There is a very prominent seam going down the center of the hood, and then there is a seem going across the shoulders. I understand that garments need seams, but I feel like this could have been better executed. The seems in my opion makes the garment look cheap, when it's giving fantasy and luxury. But ioverall, I really enjoy this cloak .

I bought two of these, for my daughter and I for a wizard-themed wine walk. The green color was so pretty and the quality was great! We received so many compliments from friends and strangers alike. I’ll definitely be wearing it again, next time for Halloween.

Great cloak! Nice dark foresty green color. It’s also super long. My sister is 5’8”ish and it still hit the ground. I’m 5’4” and we joked that I looked like a hobbit borrowing an elf’s cloak because it dragged the ground so much when I tried it on. I immediately thought of my bestie that 6” and can’t wait to let her borrow it next year. The clasp is also beautiful and study. 10/10

Very thin, does the trick if you don't care it is really cheaply made. It looks okay, I am 5'4" and it was about 5" too long too. I was hoping for something more authentic that wasn't see through.

This is a nice cloak and it was plenty long. The clasp is very nice and it feels soft and comfortable but it's not velvet. Like most of these cloaks that call themselves "velvet" it's actually panne velour, which has a nice feel but is stretchy. It made the front of the cloak longer than the back, even when it's wrapped around the body.

Of all the Amazon cape options, this is the one. I am so happy with my cape purchase that I’ve been trying to find excuses to wear it as often as possible. The cape is LONG, so it’s perfect if you’re tall. If you’re short, you can hem it or you can have a dramatic trailing cape. The closure detail is gorgeous and is well done. The only thing that would improve this cape is if the inside was lined. I’m so happy to have bought this cape for the price I did, and I know lining it would make that impossible. This was so worth my money. I’m so glad I spent the extra 10$ (compared to other online capes) to get something I’ll wear for years.
