Brilliant Product. Just ordered for the 3rd time.
Not quite sure what problems people have had using this product as I have found it to be superb and very long lasting. It is rock hard and needs warming in boiling water a few minutes to soften before use. I completely removed the soles of my walking boots which were coming off and covered both joining parts before pushing together. Used tape to tightly secure the soles to the uppers and wiped most of the oozing excess from the join before leaving 24 hours. Cut any other excess off once cured. Boots have been in regular use for over a year and there are no signs of any weaknesses in the joins - superb. I repaired a pair of my daughter's boots which had part of the soles coming loose and splits in the leather with water getting in. After using this they have been watertight and used regularly without any issues. I also had the same problem with a cycling shoe and after using this product it has also remained perfectly secure. The other unrepaired shoe recently started coming apart and I have ordered another tube to repair that. I had some left in the old tube but it had set and will not soften to use. Unfortunately it does say on the tube to store partly used tubes in the freezer and warm up before using again. I didn't read that and have stored mine in a cupboard at room temperature, which is likely the reason it set in the tube. If you have any footwear that needs sticking then don't hesitate in buying this, it is superb value compared to buying new shoes, boots etc. Thoroughly recommended.

It Just Works
Need to fix some tears in a car cover. Easy to use and appears very strong. I don't intend to try ripping again just to test. All good so far but only a few weeks since done, we wait and see.

When the man at the shoe repair shop says no.
My wife tripped over and damaged her Hotter boots. It ripped a finger nail piece out of the toe section, another just under the toe section and pulled the upper away from the sole in multiple places. The boots were a present and not cheap to replace - so I took them to a shoe repair company to have a new sole put on. It seems, Hotter uses a process that means the sole cannot be replaced.I looked on-line and found several products that could be used to repair the damage. Stormsure seemed to have good reviews. It took a while to get here but once it arrived, I set about fixing the boot.I filled the holes in several steps over a few days and then ran some seal between the upper and the sole where they had come apart. Lastly, when it had dried, I ran a narrow and thin seal around the outside of the sole where it met the upper. To check, I filled a sink with water. stuffed the foot of the boot with toilet roll and held the boot there for a while. No leaks. The winter will be the test, but my wife has worn them several times in this icky November weather and is happy.I did buy the 15g tube - not knowing what would be enough. Turns out the 5g one would have been fine. Also, I put the tube in the fridge between uses - which had the benefit of making the sealant thicker and easier to work with for the holes. It's now in the freeze for the next time and if the boots last the winter - I shall be ordering a tube of clear to fix a few other problems. We've had several pairs of good quality boots / shoes where the upper is fine but the sole needs repairing or fixing only to be told that it cannot be or that it would be cheaper to replace the item. It would be a better world if footwear like this was banned, but at least with products like Stormsure, you have the chance of fixing rather than binning what is otherwise a perfectly good boot.

Simple sticky that works on rubber
The Stormsure flexible adhesive is effective on flexible materials and seems to stick very well to most of them. It takes overnight to cure unless you also add an accelerant. I prefer it to be slow, simply because it allows me more working time to ensure everything is correctly aligned and clean.Note that any stock of this should be stored in a cool place, such as fridge or freezer, certainly at less than 25°C. Also, there is no point in keeping a part-used tube more than a few days once unsealed, so only buy the minimum you will use.It is exactly what I needed to repair/improve a carpet-pile car mat where the clutch heel has gone through. There is no protective pad offered at this spot by any of the commercial car-mat suppliers I asked, so an upgrade to the existing mat with some appropriately shaped rubber matting is the obvious answer.I used some pop-rivets and washers at the highest stress points and applied the Stormsure glue on the back of the rubber and around the most vulnerable edges, just visible on this pic of a corner. I knew I would need the whole 90gm tube for this job. I also used some disposable plastic gloves to protect my hands.Making sure the surfaces are clean and free of grease or solvents is important for best adhesion. So I let the rubber breathe for a couple of days to minimise the volatiles (the pong), before washing with soap and water and then isopropyl and finally abrading the to-be-glued area on the rubber with a medium-fine emery cloth.

Repairs worn foot ware.
I use this product to repair the worn heels of my shoes and walking boots. The repairs are strong and long wearing and have added life to my favourite foot ware. Unused part tubes I have kept in the freezer and it still works as well as new. I am well pleased with Stormsure!

2 pairs of boots repaired
This stuff is pretty amazing!I had worn down the heels on my favourite pair of boots so thought I would give this stuff a go to build them back up as I didn't fancy paying £25 to have is done at a cobblers (only cost £40 to start with). Worked a treat, took a while to set (over 2 days) but I did layer it quite thickly and didn't mix with a little bit of water as suggested.Had enough left over to re-heel a pair of my wife's boots and repair a hole in the sole my favourite pair developed. Still have some stored in the freezer (as per instructions) for a future repair.

Works to rebuild shoe heels!!
I followed YouTube videos to rebuild a worn heel of my shoes. I was sceptical but after doing it and walking on the shoes, it really works. Definitely recommend for shoes.

Good flexible bond for wader repair
I used this to repair chest waders that were badly weather checked and leaked. I had used shoegue before which did not work. This product made a much more flexible and lasting repair. It was shipped faster than anticipated. One tube was enough to do the repair.

Buen pegamento
