I bought the 20" fan. This thing reminds me of fans from the 70's. The blades are all metal construction, as is the whole fan. Very nice fan cage with small slits. You can't get an ink pen between the wire slits so no worries about your kid growing up missing fingers. It is possible to disassemble the cage to clean the blades. And this baby really outputs the air too. Even on low. Because it really moves the air, it's also a bit loud. Sounds like a 1930 Stinson doing a low pass overhead. :-)But you cannot move that amount of air quietly with standard blades either. Seems to be a very good quality motor, smooth and powerful. The instructions even suggest the motor be oiled every few months. How many fan motors these days can be oiled?So if you do so, it should last many a year.Three speeds. Heavy duty, quality three prong grounding cord.A 5 star fan in my book.

First time I turned it on I was shocked that it put out so much air - and that was on the low setting! I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a fan in the summer. After smoking up the house by burning something in the oven, I used it to blow the smoke out the patio door. It in short order like a fireman's fan.Much better and more efficient than the usual box fan.

Bought 2 of these fans to use to help dry rugs & carpet after shampooing and on very hot days. They are accurately titled, simple yet deluxe. Easy to move (lighweight), but strong enough not to get knocked over by its own velocity on High speed--lookin' at you modern day box fans!--yet not sound like a jet engine. These are moderately loud, but perfect for my purposes. Solidly made, seems like it will last.

My husband likes sleeping in a wind tunnel with 3 fans blowing at all times. So to avoid too much noise we often use 3 smaller fans that wear out fast. Tried the towers, they usually haver abnoxious lights on them and also don't last long. My husband always says he could use an industrial fan, they blow enough to take the place of three different fans. Unfortunately the noise they make is prohibitive to my sleep. When this fan claimed industrial wind , but quiet enough for home we got excited. Even on low, it sounds like your trying to sleep through a hurricane. It is quieter than most, but still... it has to be pretty hot 🔥 🥵 before I try sleeping with it in our room. It is doable in the rest of the house and again is cooling and blows with a great force. But if you are watching TV or listening to music, you will have to turn the volume up pretty loud to hear your show.

I had to replace my last fan because the plastic housing was beginning to break up with an area on top large enough for a hand to slip in and be cut by the fan blades. This one has a metal wire housing so it should last longer. It's louder than the last fan but much more powerful. I leave it at the lowest setting. We have a Mitsubishi unit in the den to offer supplemental heat in the winter and AC in the summer. It's been so hot and humid that the Mitsubishi can't cool the whole level but with this fan in the doorway to the den, it spreads the cool dry air further into the other parts of the main floor.

I mean, there's nothing better than ordering something that does exactly what you need it to do. Very high quality with no rattles, creeks, or squeaks. We use this fan in the garage as a floor fan and it's great.

I had to replace my old fan so after reviewing many of them I purchased this one and it was so worth it. The speeds are great. It doesn't feel cheap and is very sturdy. The air flow is awesome and it is very stable. Great size for any room. Mine is in my bedroom. Easy to set up and it it goes from speed to speed with ease. Stability and adjustability is great. I recommend

Use this under my house in the crawl space to keep moisture down. It turns on everyday and runs for 8 hours on a timer. It has been at least a year. No problems. My crawl space inspector said it's dry, so it works. It is a little noisy compared to the $200 fan that is also under there, but manageable.
