My Recipes: The XXL do-it-yourself cookbook to note down your 120 favorite recipes (letter format)

I had been writing down recipes in a spiral notebook that I keep at my desk for notes. I have a little recipe box with cards that I rarely get out and when I wanted to add new recipes from my notebook I found it getting really sloppy to try and fit all the steps on the little card.I chose this book because it has the table of contents, the spaces for ingredients etc, and nice full size pages to fit an entire recipe! The pages are thick enough that my writing doesn't bleed through and I can fill out both sides of the paper. It's slim enough to fit on a shelf or bookcase unlike a bulky binder with removable pages. I labeled the top of each page of the table of contents as a different category (main dishes, sides, deserts baked goods) and can easily flip to the # of whatever recipe I want. I don't mind them not being in alphabetical order or rearrangeable.

This book is just what I was looking for. I love the layout of the pages. I love that it has a table of contents. And I use gel pens and the ink doesn’t smear on this paper! It’s the perfect way to have all my recipes in one place and I’m having fun writing them all in.

It’s a pretty useful recipe book, it has a table of contents, 120 pages for recipes and each page lets you write the ingredients, directions, servings, prep time and notes. I wish the cover was harder to protect it from water and things in the kitchen, but so far so good!

I've been cooking a lot more lately, as my husband & i are trying to lose weight - we have been trying out so many new recipes that we've loved & wanted to have a cookbook of our own to write all these recipes down in. The book itself is somewhat large, so you can fit a lot of recipes in it. The only thing I don't really love is that the spot to write the ingredient lists on the recipes pages is kind of small, but that isn't a huge deal to me.

I bought this as a gift for my sister-in-law who is an amazing cook and loves creating and sharing her recipes. But after getting it and opening it, I honestly want one for myself!It’s a good, sturdy book with a cute cover and the pages are nice to where you want to write in them. (Hopefully that makes sense. I just hate ‘glossier’ paper that smudges ink and is slippery to write on.I like how the pages have prompts for what to include with each recipe. I can totally see this being a great thing for making photocopies and sharing at potlucks and get-togethers.

I love how big this recipe book is, I just got it today and it's perfect for organizing and writing up to 120 recipes. Table of contents helps you find the title of your recipe. I thought the pages were going to be white, but that's not too big of a deal, they are a depressed yellow but, the important thing is getting my recipes down, which I love.

I am so in love with this recipe journal! It's really cute and there is so much room to write all my recipes. I especially love the index in the front that helps keep up with what recipe is written on each page. The layout is very well thought out and leaves plenty of room for ingredients without taking up too much space for the directions so no need to write tiny. I can't wait to begin filling it with my favorites!

I love experimenting with recipes, and this allows me to keep track of which ones are good. I can also keep track of the tweaks I need to make from other recipes on the internet. It even has a table of contents, so I don't have to worry about grouping the recipes, I can just look them up. I'll definitely buy another one when this one fills up.

After looking on at all the recipe books on Amazon, I chose this one. I am so pleased with it as it just seems to fit the bill. I have had some different types over the years that have never seemed to be just right. However now I can write in my recipe's or even stick in ones I find printed, and have cut to fit, as there is plenty of room on good quality paper. I just can't wait to get started.

I love this book so much that I have bought another one for sweets, cakes, etc.The only reason I have given it 4 stars and not 5 is because the ingredient list is situated on the side of each recipe page so is not user friendly and doesn’t always fit everything. I have overcome this by ignoring the headings, etc and writing the ingredients at the top. Works well.Also the book is big enough to take pages from magazines cut out and glued in.Good quality paper and cover.

Larger size (although narrow) but durable outside and easily bendable to leave open on the counter without breaking spine. Lots of room for notes. No pockets for loose paper but enough blank sheets at the end to staple or clip to. Enough room on spine to write on it. Ie if you needed more than one you could label them to be able to read on a shelf. Really like, wish there were more style options.
