Stable and very lightweight!
There's nothing to dislike about these poles. I used them individually ( alternating them as singe walking stick) on multiple, long, rough terrain hikes. That extra point of contact made all the difference on cobbly, rocky trails. Awesome and very compact and lightweight. Only way I could see one breaking is if you fell with it lodged in between rocks..but that didn't happen. Highly recommend for travelers..so compact that both fit in a compact sling pack..inside( didn't even have to strap them to outside). Others complained about ease of assembly..no problem that I could find. Thought the pushpin that has to lock in place may be an issue but it was not!!

Perfect for travel
I purchased these poles because my old ones are too long to fit in carry on. I used them every day for 2 weeks, trekking the El Camino De Costa Rica and they stayed in place. Super strong too. I slipped on a steep slope but the poles kept me from falling all the way down. One of the poles bent but popped back straight as soon as I stood up again. Not a single scratch from that long trek, nearly 200 miles. Super light weight too.

Backpacking poles
Loved the size of these poles and the ease of use. The weight of poles were light. Used 2 times then one of the poles started clicking. The bottom section did not come apart but separated just enough to make a horrible clicking sound. Easy to return without an issue

Nice product and good value -- fits in backpack and easy to assemble
Somebody in a review below said they are too short for a 5'8" person. This is simply not true. I'm 5'10" and don't even have them pulled out all the way. The same person said the clamps don't work -- but these are actually great and a nice feature others don't have.Returned from Iceland after hiking with these up various waterfalls, etc. They are very solid. The latches that adjust height are very secure. They fold up small enough to fit in a backpack. They are easy to unfold and get set for a hike. The wrist straps are a little tough to loosen once you tighten them up -- but I suppose there is a technique I could have Googled. The cork handles could be a little tackier when new, but some hand sweat and dirt fixed the slipping soon. I would put a small amount of oil or something on them. Basically, these are great and were the envy of many others on the tours/hikes.

Good Poles
Bought these poles and headed on an expedition cruise to the Arctic followed by a road trip in Iceland. The poles are very light but sturdy and collapse to an easily packable size. I had no problems when using or assembling the poles. Even after weeks of use, they are not showing wear and could be mistaken for new. They come with many extra tips for various terrains, so they should be my go-to poles for some time.

TSA Compliant!
I've really wanted a pair of lightweight hiking poles for some of our international travel. We travel carry-on only, so can't have a pole that needs to be checked in. When we went to the Dolomites a few years ago I ended up having to buy a "cheap" pair at 50 euro that I couldn't take back on the plane, so when we scheduled a trip to Rwanda to trek to see gorillas, I was determined to bring my own pair.I'm short - 5'4", so the first pair I got were too tall for comfortable use. This pair, by Overmont, is exactly as described on the listing. Easy to put together, adaptable for both my 6'2" spouse and myself, lightweight, and packed easily into my 20" carryon. My bag didn't get pulled for secondary screening in any airport, both domestic and international, and the sticks were comfortable to use with their cork(ish) handle and wrist straps to lean into. IF you're looking for hiking sticks to travel with, I can't promise that you won't get some overzealous TSA person who tries to chuck them out of your bag, but if you do, he/she will be an exception to the rule - of the dozen+ security screenings we went through, these poles were never questioned once.

They stand by their product
The first and only time I used these poles one broke within 30 minutes on a very easy trail. BUT, when they saw the review I left they contacted me. They replaced the broken pole immediately.
