Stanley 0TR40 Light-Duty Staple Gun

After buying cheaper Rolson stapler's in a starter kit with staples and them breaking and finding it impossible to purchase buy the correct size staples to fit, I found this Stanley one it's well built as you'd expect and works perfectly,I purchased the recommended staples and they did not fit the stapler at all I had to make a second purchase of staples which were Stanley 1-TRA205T Type A Staples, Silver, 8 mm, Set of 1000 Pieces is what I had to order and they fitted perfectly this stapler takes Type A Stanley staples not just any size of staple

This is the second one I bought. The last one lasted a number of years used very often at home for various jobs plus in my shop. Great bit of kit. Primarily I use it for posters but I have just used it to secure a moisture barrier on a new shed.

I bought 5 of these so far for my canvas framing business.They are lightweight and very powerful for pinewood frames.The only problem I've had is that they only last me for 4-5 months, but I mean heavy use, until the spring plate inside shatters. For around 10£, it's really worth the money.I would say for normal use, they should last years, no problem.Altogether, great stapler.

Not used it yet, but I managed to put staples in without having to read the instructions !! It is a Stanley so should be good.....I need to re-upholster my dining chairs and this will be just the ticket. Will add more once used

Just what I needed to finish small upholstery job

Purchased the above, and about to return.I purchased Stanley 8mm staples as advised, they don’t go in the gun!! The red does not seem to give way for the drawer to close. What a waste of my time! Maybe they should quality check their staplers…how novel!

I used it for attaching a liner to my wooden planters. Strong enough to do this while still being lightweight enough for me to use. My hands are arthritic now and I cannot use anything that needs too much power.
