Poorly made junk
I wanted to like this, but it's just shoddy.Grinds are terribly uneven, and the maker's stamp isn't even complete. Handle is loose as delivered, the pin is not completed and the entire shovel rattles in the hand. The handle is OK feeling, but the endcap is off center, poorly attached, and has rough edges. Paint is missing on the back.I could spend time and make it better, but I'll buy a tool that is finished in the factory instead. The highest quality part of this is the sheath, which is surprisingly nice.Pictures show it as delivered, shovel went from the box, to the pictures, back to the box. I can move the pin with my finger, shows how loose the tool is.

Cold steel one is better
Overpriced for a lesser product compared to my cold steel shovel. Handle seems unfinished and rough. It would be a decent “combat shovel” at $25. I’ll stick with my cold steel or issue E-tool and let my kids have this little thing.

Overpriced for poor quality
For the price I can't justify giving this thing more than two stars. I bought this mainly because I needed something smaller than the Cold Steel shovel that would readily mount to a pack. I got it and the handle was full of splinters. I had to sand it a lot and oil it to death just to get it somewhat workable. And I'm not even sure if that will hold just because of the nature of the wood. After five minutes of work I had pulled a dozen splinters out of my hands. Nothing, and I mean nothing that costs this much should be in that state when you get it. My Cold steel shovel at half the price wasn't like that at all. The sheath seemed okay at first, but it relies on straps with snap ends on it and the snap ends are weak so it falls off my pack. Total bummer because that's exactly why I bought it and I'm back in the boat with my Cold Steel shovel not being able to mount it. Came with a dinged edge out of the box, and the steel quality isn't great. If you need it because of the size, get it I guess but plan to do some work on it. Other than that, I'd avoid it at all costs honestly. I wouldn't buy it again, especially not at this price.

Poor workmanship
Really nice small shovel my two problems with it are that the back seam is not welded and it is riveted instead of screwed on, and only in one place instead of two I drill out the rivet and secure it with a screw and aviation nut I will then drill another hole on each side and put in a couple screws. Then I will strip weld and repaint the shovel. For the price I paid I shouldn’t have to do that much work to it.

Not only shovel, but the Sheath is Great!
As other people said, versatile, lighter than Cold Steel and shorter. Fits in bags better. But the Sheath is really high quality! Totally worth It!UPDATE: one of the corner rivets on the sheath fell off, a week after my review. Still like the sheath as whole. I will fix It myself! :-(

Ultra light chopping shovel
Both the shovel and the sheath are very well built. The shovel arrived very sharp and worked great for light chopping tasks like cutting down saplings, or small branches. It’s a good size for digging latrine pits, shoveling ashes, and other camp chores. I’ll probably use it around the vegetable garden quite a bit next season as well.

Awesome!
Took this to the woods, beat the hell outta it. Excellent digger, superior chopper and terrific heft. Built like a tank. Comes with a sturdy nylon sheath. Great design too. A homerun for Condor. Their response to the Cold Steel version.

The perfect lightweight machete/axe/shovel tool option
I have the Cold Steel Special Forces shovel, but this little guy is definitely a beast, too.Half the weight and much smaller than the Cold Steel. It doesn’t have the same reach, and the metal is a bit softer than Cold Steel’s. But if you do a lot of long hikes, go with this Condor. It can do almost everything the Cold Steel can
