Great Game, Easy to Pick Up
Got the game after seeing some reviews on youtube. After reading the rules though it would be difficult to pick up but less than two turns in and we all had it down. Really great game and lots of fun.

Don't you wanna become a cult leader?
Easy to pick up gameplay. Cleanup is a little annoying with all the meeples, but hey, what's running a cult without dealing with a bunch of people?

So much fun!
My teenager, family, and friends love playing this game! It's fun and easy to pick up after a game or two.I cannot imagine a single reason why anyone wouldn't want to learn how to successfully create a cult. *wink*

Fun game to play with friends
Did take a while to learn the rules especially when nobody knows the rules, luckily there are videos on youtube which make it easier to learn. I don't think this game has much replayability unless you add in new players though .

Quick and simple strategy game with cards that shakeup the action, price is steep for what's offered
My girlfriend and I played a 2-player game of CULTivate. The instructions were clear and concise with the game being quick and easy to learn. We each chose our cult leaders: Lee Sakhando for me and Paula Nation for my girlfriend, we randomly selected our compound boards, and we chose our agendas. Based on our selections, we came up with completely different strategies. After the initial introduction to each of the unique cult leaders, there is not much of their personalities that come through during gameplay. Throughout the game, we played cards and exchanged followers in order to focus on filling our compounds for points, gaining advantages, and working on our agendas. It was an enjoyable experience with a surprising amount of strategy involved. We played cards to build up our compounds or reserved them for a more opportune time. There were cards that forced player interaction that shook up the play field and our priorities. In the end, I won the game with a well-built strategy, playing my cards or exchanging followers at the right time, and a bit of luck. Overall, the game was quick and simple with our first game taking about an hour. We thoroughly enjoyed playing through the game and look forward to playing against friends. The price of the game for what's being offered is steep sitting currently at $40 making it bit difficult to recommend. If the game were priced in the $20-$30 range then it would be a high recommendation.
