ProKennex Pro Speed II - Pickleball Paddle

I love this raquet and it’s never flared up my tennii oh s elbow, which it is supposed to be known for. It seems better for aggressive hits and the softer hits tend to have less bounce.

I've played with enough pickle to realize you could probably hand me a beginner paddle & I'd still lose... BUT, when my game is on point this paddle makes every stoke easier.Control: It puts balls right where I want them to go. Easy to hit angles, deep shots, whatever. When I miss, this paddle offers no excuse... it's all on me. This is a very solid feeling paddle & I know where every shot is going (even when they are out)Power: This paddle generates all the power I'd ever need. It is a perfect for my arm speed/strength. Mine came in at 8.2 oz & I can do multiple push ups every single week.Comfort: This paddle has a tapered grip. The width is great for my hand size after I throw on an over wrap. I may be dinking the kool-aid, but IMO the tapered grip makes transitions between hard & soft game easier. I can easily grip hard for lots of power, & it feels very natural releasing my bottom fingers to soften grip & take pace off the ball.The weight also plays into comfort, perfect for my strength (or lack there of). Strong folks will still do great with this and find it super fast at the net.Finesse: taking pace off the ball is easy with this thing, as is dinking at the net. You can work those nice powerful spinny dinks & then in the blink of an eye turn it up to 100. This paddle makes it easy to control power & spin - & as a result I noticed a higher percentage hitting drops from the baseline.Other stuff:The replaceable bumper guard is pretty cool. I've seen plenty of the older Pro Speeds that have been through the ringer and are still holding together, but I've also seen people who beat down that top part of the paddle.Speed at the net is great, this will of course be personal preference. A light paddle will be faster, but may offer less power. I find this to be the perfect balance for my game.Conclusion:Your pickle experience may differ. I love this paddle & think it's the best on the market BUT... always recommend everyone try before buy. If you are ordering demo's I 100% recommend you add this to the list. If you don't have the opportunity to demo before purchasing, do research and understand what you're buying (hopefully this review can help).

I love my new racket. Has lots of pop seems to be easy on my arm and shoulder. I also have lots of control with it.

I've been through many paddles but it was a case of tennis elbow that drew me to the Pro Speed II. I'm two weeks into my Prokennex experience and I'm thinking the Pro Speed II is a perfect fit. It felt comfortable from the first serve--as if I had been playing with it for years. Light, perfectly balanced, and a great combination of power and control. Several regular playing partners have noticed improvement in my game. Attenuation into the grip is noticeably improved as compared to other paddles, Gearbox for instance. Needless to say, my tennis elbow is healing fast. For me, this may be the one.
