great music, baby loves it

The book is lovely. The baby loves it and it's the must bring-around-book when we travel. Changing the battery is a bit tricky but nothing really difficult. We already got the Paco e l'Orchestra book, the italian version, and I must say it's a different quality. The JAzz version - this one of the review - is more difficult to use. When the baby push the icons they don't easily work. You must push hard, specially on the first pages. The italian version with the Orchestra doesn't require so much strenght... and the baby is baffled when trying to push the Jazz's ones. The story is the same: paco goes around New Orelans with his saxophone and meet other players-animals. The choice of the pieces is not really the best: for example the clarinet isn't Gershwin' Rhapsody in Blue! There's Ella Fitzgerald and you'll see the others on the photo. I know it's french, but words are really a few and you can read without problems (or make up your own stories!).

Nous avions reçu ce livre en cadeau. J'ai dû le racheter à nouveau car ma fille l'a usé jusqu'à la corde! Le seul bémol : boutons trop durs pour des petits doigts donc c'est définitivement une activité partagée.

The tracks songs are very short and the pictures are repeated in every pages. Shame as the one with Mozart is really good.

Paco et le jazz est un livre pour enfants qui raconte l'histoire d'un petit chien nommé Paco qui organise un concert de jazz avec d'autres amis musiciens. La qualité sonore du livre est excellente. Les musiques sont variées et entraînantes, et les sons sont clairs et agréables à écouter. Mon fils est ravi d'écouter tous ces instruments.Les dessins sont magnifiques. Ils sont colorés et pleins de vie et de détails.C'est donc très réussi, à la fois éducatif, dépaysant et divertissant.

Schöne Melodien, die einem Kind den ersten Zugang zum Jazz leicht machen. Gute Zusammenfassung der Geräusche am Ende, schöne Bilder, lustige Details. Mein Sohn „liest“ es schon Jahre und ich habe es als Geschenk nochmal gekauft.

The music is entrancing to the 4 y/o. Does a great job of introducing instruments.

Amazing book! Great quality, fabulous music, great illustrations. My family adores all the Paco musical books.
