Great purchase
Pros: great quality, great size, works great when dog is trained to use itCons: may take a lot of patience to train dog to use itI bought this for my dog who hates anyone being near her paws and will do anything to get away from nail clippers or electric files. Taking her places to get them trimmed also put her into high stress mode. In our case this did takes some patience and steady work training her to use it over a month time period, along with some high value treats but it has been worth it. It does take several scratches to file down long nails but the board is very durable and I don't think we will need to replace it for a long time. She likes it enough now that if we leave it out she will go scratch it without being prompted in hopes of earning a treat.

Ok but not tough enough for my dog
Functional, but my dog (75 pound pit Bull mix) has already ripped off a bunch of sandpaper after only the 3rd use. Would probably be better for smaller dogs. He seems to enjoy the food puzzle feature of it.

Poor quality and my dog was injured from it.
My dog played with this once then the sandpaper came off of half the board. The second time he used it, he got his nail stuck and pulled his nail out. There was blood everywhere and he was in a lot of pain. Would not recommend this product at all.

This is an absolute great concept. It does work and it works well but it rips up easy
This is a good product, it works well but it rips up easy. I think the only thing they have to change is making the Sandpaper a little more sturdy on it. Everything else is great. Just a suggestion.

It works!!!
I was never able to cut my dogs nails. The vet was the only way i could get the nails trimmed and it would cause my dog so much stress. I tried calming treats but that didn’t help. This actually works!! I spent a few hours training my dog to scratch the pad and putting the pad under furniture with a treat worked the best. After a few hour of training both my dogs have nicely trimmed nails. They aren’t perfect but considering this was the first time using it, i feel it worked better than trimming the nails! Much safer and it works fast!!!!

Not very well made, very lightweight and not sturdy.
Some of the sandpaper applied to the squares are not well attached, our dog was able to grab a hold of one area with his teeth. ( we immediately took the item away from him) The openings for treats are very shallow, so none of the treats we have for our dog will fit. All the openings are connected, so the food or treats just fill a single area, which means once the dog opens or moves a square they can get to all the treats. I don't believe most dogs would find this intriguing enough or challenging enough to keep scratching at it long enough to make a dent in their nails. This item is very light weight and very easy for a dog to pick up.

Great product for some dogs
The media could not be loaded. I love it! It serves its purpose for one out of my three dogs. The other two have a higher learning curve. Lol. Consumers who showed pictures of bloody nails from this product, might want to rethink leaving your dog alone when using it. My Rascal is not a fan of having his nails clipped. Apart from dragging him (lol) or paying something like $40 each to this grumpy man at the pet store who is booked months in advance., this really works. I would never leave Rascal alone with this, because he would do exactly what others complained about. He would eat the wood, or scratch until his claws were down to the quick. Now, although Rascal displays the most challenging behaviors of the three, he is the smartest (just like children). I plan to teach Angel how to scratch to get to the treats, and perhaps rub her favorite treat on the larger panel which does not move and encourage scratching. Charlie is my “if it isn’t easy, forget it” dog. He has even torn his nail off (picture 2 with home made bandage that lasted one minute), rather than allow me to clip his nails. At least I will avoid trips to get their nails cut for 2/3. If I give this to Rascal every night I am sure he will file his nails himself. With regards to his hind claws and declaw , well, I haven’t figured that out yet.

NOT MADE FOR LARGE DOGS.
I have a Cane Corso that HATES having his nails trimmed. Since he’s pretty treat motivated, I thought this would be a less stressful option for him (and me). The sandpaper isn’t tacked on very well at the corners so the little squares sandpaper came off pretty easily and quickly. The size is also a tiny bit small for a big dog but that’s my fault for not paying attention to the measurements. However, it worked really well for the Chiweenie who has no problems getting his nails trimmed and loved the puzzle sides of the board. :)

Works but there are some issues with it
My dog HATES having his nails trimmed. We have only been able to do it while he was under anesthesia and that happened after he was 1 year old. My dog groomer hasn’t stopped trying and she sent me this to give it a go. I was shocked to realized that my dog’s nail were down to the very quick in just 10 min, I realized soon enough to make him stop so that’s awesome, so you need to keep an eye on your dog so he doesn’t file the quick and starts bleeding. However, 4 stars because the material is not very sturdy, my dog can easily slide all the small squares in seconds so I need to hold it so he keeps scratching on it. And most of all scratching pads were not even glued enough after I opened it, I’m planning to buy some glue so I can actually make this last longer.

CHEAP
Ce produit ne vaut pas ce prix qualité médiocre. Ce qui aiguise les griffes n est même pas bien coller. Aucune finition bois brut

Scratch board
Not sure how good this is but have been successful in getting our dog to scratch his paws on this. Cant get near our dog with nail clippers so am using this board in conjunction with a grinder. Anything to help keep his nails short and not another expensive trip to the vets to be put under to cut his nails.

Not good
The media could not be loaded. With in 5 mins. I’ll definitely be scrolling through where the return button is the stickers weren’t even stuck on there. Good enough I tried to glue them down more. It sucks. They should just sell instructions on how to make a giant one for your dog to make it actually work.
