sadly I got the kg only scales and not the lbs and kg! But nice scales!

very good but wanted to be able to shift weigh modes.

This was a lovely product, well made, very accurate, clear display, modern looking but unfortunately didn't weigh in stones and pounds only kilograms so I had to send it back. It was a shame.

As a number of reviews have noted the model supplied does not have the switch to change between kgs and lbs.

Yes this scale only works in Kilos; since I am originally from a country where the imperial system is something we see as a novelty at best, this is not a problem for me.The scale is extremely accurate and it gives me consistent readings regardless of where I decide to move it and how many times I weight myself. Also it does not cheat like other cheaper scales do by keeping in memory the last weight for a few minutes (if I pick something up and I weight myself again the extra weight shows immediately).The scale itself weights several kilos due to the thick tempered glass panel and the display is huge, bright and easy to read from a distance both in daylight and at nightIn the end this is an excellent product, the only drawback is that it needs four AAA batteries but these are included in the box.

Lovely large and smart scale that would be ideal for weighing luggage as well as people. Unfortunately it only reads in KG and cannot be switched to read in stones and pounds despite what the instructions that come with the scale and on the Tanita website may say. The Amazon listing is very misleading because it pictures the scale reading in pounds. This is not the case and I returned the scales for a refund.

It will not work in the bedroom on carpet

Images show that the scale can be turned from kg to stones or pounds but you can't - it's kg only as the version sent has has the switch removed - they are probably meant for sale in a different region.This is not clear in the description and the image is misleading.
