Seems pretty good but pump doesn’t even slightly work
I just installed spindle on my CNC today, the wire from inverter to spindle was far to short, had to buy 15” of 12/4 wire. The hose that came with it was too stiff so I also replaced that. The inverter came with a 110 plug so I had to replace that as well. It runs nice, is very quiet and seems very well balanced. One issue I found is the pump will only push water up the tubing about three inches, I took the hose off pump to make sure I didn’t have a kink in the hose and it still wouldn’t pump any water. I’ve been trying to contact seller but there seems to be no way to get ahold of them. I haven’t had a chance to cut anything since I can’t get cooling water to pump but I’ll update review once I get another pump.

3kw/4hp spindle is super quiet and has much more power over the 2.2kw
3kw/4hp spindle is super quiet and has much more power over the 2.2kw.After running 2.2kw spindles for years now, probably replacing as many as 5 motors. This 3kw spindle with a 3.7kw inverter seems to be of higher quality as well...

So Far So Good
My wife got this for me for my birthday. I'm fairly new to CNC, so take this review in that context. I custom built my own electrical enclosure, so getting this fitted was not a problem as I engineered the box for one of these to fit. The manual is not useless, but it is not the best either. Most of these VFDs are built the same and many of the settings are the same, so some internet searching found most of the answers that I needed. I am also active in a CNC group on FB which helped a lot.I'm running a GR3 Carriage and Rail 2x4 machine with a Gecko G540 controller and Mach 3. The spindle is a good fit for this machine and carves really well. So far I have carved several types of wood and even a solid copper round for a gift for a friend of mine and it has performed well. The ER20 collets are pretty nice and do a good job holding the bits. They are easy to get in and out of the spindle nut but because I have lots of different shank sizes on my bits, I got a couple more nuts so that I wasn't changing the collet all the time. The pump is a little weak, but it keeps my spindle cool even after several hours cutting. The tubing is a little rigid and it wasn't enough to go all the way through my drag chains, so I bought some 1/4 clear vinyl tubing and used that. It's softer anyway and is less stressful on my drag chains. The spindle cable is OK, but I replaced it with a shielded cable just to be safe. One negative would be the flimsy collet wrenches that come with it. They're very short and very thin, so applying any torque makes them uncomfortable so I just replaced them with a couple of cheap combination wrenches that I cut the box end off of and shortened a little bit. They're just like purpose built collet wrenches and they work out great.Programming the VFD is not too difficult with enough research or if you are already knowledgeable about these things. I have not yet been able to get the actual VFD speed (measured with a laser tach) to match the speed that Mach 3 displays, but I think that is something to do with Mach and not the VFD.Overall, this is a very good spindle for the money. The support that I got from the manufacturer (via Amazon chat) was a little slow and the language barrier makes it interesting, but I got all my questions answered in a timely manner and the staff was very pleasant.Time will tell, but so far, I would definitely recommend this setup if you are looking for an inexpensive entry into VFD/spindle arena.
