For the most part I love this item! It makes shredding cheese so easy! I can do a one pound block of cheese in about a minute! It’s easy to clean and simple to use. There are, however a few things that aren’t so great. The suction is nit very strong and I find U have to re-stick it to the counter a few times during use. The plastic is kinda thin and creaks a little, which worries me that it will crack under regular use, the plastic is not solid and you can see there are seams that could come apart. This item will do for now, but in time I think I will probably upgrade to something more sturdy.

I love this thing. A friend of mine got me a different brand rotary slicer after watching me cut up vegetables with a knife and cutting board, and I used it into the ground, for everything, all the time. When I broke it, I went searching Amazon for an upgraded, heavy-duty replacement version and found this guy. One, it is aesthetically pleasing--attractive blue color, nice lines, tilted for real functional use. Two, it has metal inserts, and a suctioning base that ACTUALLY WORKS. The handle locks in, turns with extreme ease, and unlocks easily. The two little tabs at the bottom plastic thing of the base broke off while I was turning it last time, but it doesn't seem to affect its use. I'll update if it turns out that those little tabs were super important, but since they don't appear to be I advise you get it. It works beautifully, even for someone with a sprained wrist, and it can shred up a block of cheese in seconds, effortlessly. I love it. Plus the fact that I can toss every bit of it in the dishwasher makes it a complete win for our house.

After years of using a mandolin for veggies and borrowing my mother's German nut grinder this is fantastic. No more sliced fingers on the mandolin. I was able to grind almonds for cookies to the same texture as the German grinder and I can slice cukes in less time than it takes to peel them. Carrots and radish are shredded easily for Vietnamese pickled veggies in no time at all. Assembly and clean up is simple, the base fastens securely to granite counter. My only complaint, some of the veggies end up spinning under the plastic guard, but it is not significant. Well worth the money.

We just love this little gadget!Makes perfect taters for hash browns.Slices taters perfectly for fried taters.The only problem I have with it is sometimes it doesn't stick to the counter, but that just may be me or a damp counter.This does what I ask it to do and am happy I bought it.

This is a decent product. The biggest issue is that because the unit is so light and the force required to shred tougher veggies like potatos is so much you end up fighting the motion you create to use it. It needs a suction cup on the bottom or a stone base to lock into in order to make this better. As it stands I cant rate above 3 star due to the obvious design flaws.

I love this grater! I have arthritis in my hands and something simple like grating cheese was so frustrating. I have used it for everything from veggies, cheese, and nuts. Pops together, comes right apart, easy to clean. I have containers in my fridge with grated cheese so now all I have to do is grab the container. This is one product I cannot be without! Ever!

This is so much easier to use than the hand held one we have been using for parmesan cheese. It is so fast! You put in a big chunk, and with a few fast turns of the crank, you are done. It seems to be very well made. It secures the the counter with a turn of the knob, snaps together easily, comes apart easily when you are done, and is fast and easy to wash and put away.

Blades are good. Easy to clean. But base is not steady. Base is very unsteady. Suction does not work. Used only once.
