Oriental Furniture Olde-Worlde European Tissue Box

Looks pretty nice although it's a bit darker than the product picture. Feels sturdy enough and fits my kleenex boxes (21cmx18.7cm) perfectly.

I needed a tissue box cover that would work for the regular facial tissues; e.g., NOT the pop-up kind. I personally don't like pop-ups as I like to grab a half-dozen at once to stuff into my pockets. The photo looked promising and when I read the reviews that said the pop-up tissues tended to 'fall back inside' because the opening is so wide, I figured this box just might work. And it does! Well, my hands are small so I don't have any trouble reaching in and grabbing a handful of tissues, anyway [smile].I did put some rubber protectors on the bottom, per another reviewer's suggestion. The box is heavier than a plastic or cardboard cover would be, but still light enough to move around a little if you're grabbing inside and are in a hurry. Also, like all the Asian-made boxes, it really DOES NOT fit U.S. boxes. Take the tissues out and put them inside - the box opens easily with a clasp and it's not a big deal.It should be noted that better quality facial tissues, like Puffs Ultra-Strong, barely fit into the inside dimensions of this box. You can fit maybe half a box of better quality Puffs into it. If this annoys you, then you'll need to keep looking. Myself, I couldn't find anything else, but YMMV.

Sturdy and looks pretty good. Doesn't fit any of the boxes I've found yet.

Bought this...loved it. Really beautiful, for what it is, and sturdy... I knew from the reviews that it did not cover a box, but rather the tissues must be removed from the original packaging and placed into the box. There was also an issue with the tissue (rhyming!:)) not standing up in the outlet portal. I cut the top off of the original packaging and affixed it to the top of the wooden box on the inside. Carefully close the box while pulling the tissue through the clear plastic of the original packaging and Viola! Problem solved. A tiny bit of the original packaging will show through the box (I used Kleenex with lotion) and if that bothers you, I think you could color it with brown or black on the cardboard that is showing. Really really classy looking. Adds to the decorating of the room and keeps tissues accessible. Love it.

Wow hook broke on this low quality box already !!!! Do not buy....standard tissue boxes don't fit !!!!
