Such a shame for such a good product that it is missing such a key component. I bought a tie separately but it would have been so much better and easier if the tie was part of the offering. Would have been 5 stars otherwise!

Great looking gift for Christmas. The robe looks nice, some of the stitching is obviously hastily done and I've had to repair a couple of places after 3 days of wear. The glasses and wand are fine. The clasp as other reviewers have remarked is very flimsy and one of the black knobs has broken off already. There's no way I can take the robe off the girl to return as she's been wearing it non-stop since Christmas day, so I put on a loop and button instead - but I just found that if you break off the other black knob on purpose, the clasp itself will still work. It's a copper colour not as nice but it works. This was bought within someone else's budget, I'd have personally paid a bit more for a better quality product. All that said, child is over the moon and for the price paid for the whole package it's no more than can be expected. Fits 135cm tall 7 year old very nicely so that it's not dragging on the floor to be stepped on.

I bought this for my son to wear during world book day dressing up day at his school. So much easier than making it. It arrived within a few days and my son loves it. Did I say that already? He kept it on all morning and I am sure he will love wearing it to school. The glasses have glass/plastic lenses which are slightly blurry to me but he says they're fine for him. He loves the wand too. The set comes with a clasp to fasten the cape/cloak/robe which is tricky to fit but then I worked out once my son was fed up of trying, that you bend it a certain way which opens the teeth part on one side, you fasten this and then repeat with the other side. I may still have to sew something on. He also wants me to sew on the missing pocket on the inside (really?) so he can put his wand into it. Oh, and I need to now seek out and buy a tie. This is brilliant. My son is a tall 7 year old (just on the edge of growing out of his yr 8 M & S school trousers) and the cloak is a couple of inches above his ankles.

This costume is perfectly fine. It's as you would expect - basically synthetic and fairly cheap, but the colours are right (it really is maroon inside, not red as we read in reviews of some other similar products), it's not the worst-quality I've ever seen in terms of cheap costume material, and fits a 126cm child almost perfectly. For 120cm children and below, it would be on the tops of their feet, I think, and any shorter than that, it would probably be too long. It would probably start getting too short for a child much above 135cm (that would be about mid-calf). It didn't come with a tie, but the glasses are good quality - metal, not plastic. The wand is plastic but reasonably sturdy. The clip to hold the robe together at the top does work, but is very fiddly and I can't help thinking that velcro or a snap-fastener ('popper') would have been more practical, as it is not attached to the robe and so sure to get lost!

My 8 year old daughter was really pleased with this costume. It's good quality and fit her perfectly. The problem was one arm of the glasses. They broke after the first wear. Luckily she tried it all on the week before World Book Day and my husband fixed them at work. They are solid now. The wand looks a bit cheap in my opinion and not as slender as the real thing but my daughter absolutely loved it all as did her friends so perhaps I am a bit fussy. We added a Gryffindor school tie to complete the look. You could use the robes to be Hermione or any other of the characters as was our original plan . My daughter likes the round glasses so much she wanted to be Harry, drew on a scar and away she went!

I Would Definitly Pay More Do Have A Sewn Badge Instead Of The Plastic One. Still Great, The Wand Is Reasnoble And Durable Its Not Cheapish Plastic, But The Glasses Were Abit Wonkey, One Side Was perfect Opened Great were as the other side was quite stiff and un evens the glasses :/ Still, Dont let me put you of buying this wonderful product! My daughter is "chuffed!" and couldnt be happier! She said we was going to need to buy a gryfindor tie and a grey jumper, shirt pants ect but still great price and thanks for the undamaged product! :D Yvette Additional Details, My Daughter is 11 and this fits her great, shes medium size :)

This item was very good value for money, it might not be very heavy material but it is perfect for just dressing up and is reflected in the price. My daughter wanted to dress up as a student from Hogwarts this year for Halloween. I bought the scarf separately along with a tie to finish the outfit. The glasses are perfect and the wand does the job too. My daughter is very happy with the outfit. The seller was great to deal with and the delivery was prompt. I would highly recommend the item.

Well what can I say, my 5 year old son is a HUGE fan of the Harry Potter films to the extreme he knows most of the words for the first and second films due to mum and dad having the box set of them (p.s. he haven't watched the deathly hallows yet, too young) He knows the characters names and most of the spells so we thought it was best to buy him the costume along with a broom for Christmas. This outfit is great, he has worn it a few times now to birthday parties and non-stop at home casting spells on mummy and daddy and claiming he is the new Harry Potter, never seen a child so happy and away with the fairies when wearing a costume. Fabric is great and the wand can with stand a lot of use. Glasses look great although my child doesn't use them as already has his own he needs to wear at all times. A must for all children who love Harry Potter
