It is a well made guitar strap. Good quality leather. Doesn’t slip and looks really good. Very pleased

It's cool to be cool...
This guitar strap is momentously manly and smashes all other guitar straps in the face. Crafted from a single piece of buffalo hide there is no stitching to fail, and no need for reinforcement as the strap is seriously tough. I have no doubt that it will outlast me and only improve with age. Considering the thickness of the hide, the Buffalo King is remarkably supple straight out of the draw string bag. This is a strap that will relish being broken in over time, the more use it gets the better it will become. The best thing I can liken it too is pair of Dr. Martens boots. Super high quality, will last forever and once broken in will be the most amazing and comfortable strap, possibly on the planet. The distressed leather has spades of mojo, this thing is seriously freaking cool. Before settling on this strap I tried out many other leather straps from various different companies and finishes. This was hands down the winner, for both quality and looks. Also at this price it's an absolute steal, much higher quality than a certain Canadian leather company's similar offering and if this had their logo on it, I would imagine would retail at twice as much.I use this strap with a Gibson Les Paul that has traditional weight relief (means a fracking heavy guitar) and have had no issues even after extended play. The strap is about 2 1/2 inches wide and this is more than ample to spread the weight of the guitar across my shoulders. One thing I have done is occasionally to treat the strap with Dr Martens Wonder Balsam. This is amazing stuff that aids in the 'breaking in' of leather goods. So if you own a guitar I suggest you get yourself one of these, if you know someone with a guitar I suggest you buy them one of these as a present (comes well packaged so makes a great gift) you will not be disappointed.

Different and Impressive
I decided to pick up one of the as a gift for a band mate after previously buying some of this company’s wooden picks for myself (very good, by the way). Decided to get the strap out of the bag for a little look after seeing the pictures, and this thing is great. I’ve been playing a long time and I’ve never seen a strap remotely similar either online of in a guitar shop, totally unique. Never seen another buffalo leather strap full stop. So they say its buffalo leather but if they told me it was pulled from a T.Rex I’d believe it! It looks completely grizzled and had bags of character out of the bag as promised. The burnt in seared logo totally suits it too. From the comfort perspective, I’ve pulled it over my shoulder, and the leather does a good job of being a really nice balance of supple and comfortable without being so soft you’re concerned over durability. It’s definitely heavy duty. I’d gladly whack this on a very very expensive guitar and fully expect it to both keep it on my shoulder with ease and make the guitar look better. If you’ve got a guitar with character then I’d say this is the perfect match. In short I love it and I can’t believe I’m giving it to somebody. I’m seriously considering a rock n’ roll style bust up with my band mates so I can keep it.

The patina finish looks great as delivered - I'd recommend NOT applying Dr Martens ...
Lovely guitar strap & *excellent* customer service. The patina finish looks great as delivered - I'd recommend NOT applying Dr Martens Wonder Balsam if you do like the finish (or "try an inconspicuous area" like any sensible person would). I did apply a little balsam all over the strap, to try & speed up the softening of the leather. *Big* mistake - the balsam gave the leather a very flat even finish, and looked a bit boring.I contacted the manufacturer to ask for their advice on fixing my mistake. Grant was really helpful, explained how they apply the finish and even sent me some of their special finishing wax and some test strips of leather. With a bit of practice I have got the strap looking more like it did when I bought it.I'd definitely buy from them again, and will be keeping an eye out for the "Pro Line" straps mentioned on their website. The boot cleaning products will be staying in the cupboard next time!

Made to last
In the age of cheap mass-produced products, it's hard to find anything that's genuinely hand crafted and made to last. These straps will last a life time, and what's more: *improve* as they age, getting softer, moulding to your body and guitar, becoming *your* strap.Other reviewers have commented that cheaper alternatives can be found, that are easier to lock onto the guitar. I've owned cheaper straps and over time they look worse, they don't distribute weight evenly across the shoulder, leading to fatigue, and the eyelets stretch, eventually making it easy for your guitar to fall out of the strap when lifting it.I think Bison Boa charge a very reasonable price for the level of quality on offer. The straps look, smell and feel great and I wish the company the best of success.

A Mans strap
Its tough, so tough I think the strap locks or strap pin will break before the strap i cannot imagine how it would ever faillooks great like a old western leather strapbut it not without a problemwhen I came to attach some strap locks to the strap because the leather is so thick the strap locks thread is so short it only just made it though the hole and took over a hour to get them both on but now they are on its not going anywhereso if you want a Man's Man strap and want your guitar safe so its not going anywhere then get this strap

Ottimo
