Works well and does what its designed to do.One major caveat is that the supplied tubing is very thick and comes folded up.The leaflet supplied says to soften the folds with hot water but that doesnt really get the creases out and they badly restrict flow. A thinner more flexible tube would do the job better and likely cost less to supply i'd imagine, a disappointing design flaw.

Erm, tricky to write a review. It is a really fast syphon to use. However, the following let it down:The whole point of an auto syphon is that it does it require sucking. Hence keeping microbes out of the wine. It fits into a carboy no problem but it does not fit into the neck of a demijohn. So if you need to syphon from one of those, forget it.The second irritation is the flexible pipe comes with at least two kinks in it which are difficult to remove even using warm water.Do to summarise, great fast syphon but not practical enough for use with demijohns and other small necked bottles

A great piece of kit I'd recommend for any home brewer, makes bottling day much easier than normal syphon tubing.

I have used this a few times now with no problems you don't have to go mad when pumping so with care it should not break.Tip....make sure there are no kinks in the pvc tube when pumping as this can give lots of resistance and will if not careful cause the glass tube to break.

I can't figure out how it works, but it is flippin brilliant. I brew beer in 25 ltr glass demijohns, with the occasional double batch in 50 ltr demijohns. This is a perfect length for the 25 ltr ones, and can reach the bottom of the 50 ltr ones with a bit of jiggery-pokery. The sediment foot thing works really well.

Well, not exactly. If you see what I mean. Make short work of your racking with this syphon - and the end is raised to avoid transferring trub to your keg. Seems pricey, but does the job.
