winding
Compostable floss that does not shread and unravel all that fast. This is not too fat to be painful, either. Are these meant to be used inside out? The inner thread is long and more easily started than the end on the outside, and so far, going from the outside always comes to catch on part of the inner strand. Using the inner strand will pull at times. They would be hard to wind around a spool the way I have wanted.

reasonably priced, my hygienist approves, black color shows cleaning power, no plastic
This is dental floss. I tried it because I could not stand seeing all the non-recyclable plastic waste being generated from other dental floss products and especially those tiny bits of floss on plastic picks that are becoming more popular- they are disgusting. But just being sustainable and biodegradable isn't enough for me. I try to do my part to use less plastic whenever possible but I won't accept low quality in exchange. This replaces Dr Tungs and Cocofloss both of which I liked but eventually I got tired of the big plastic containers each roll came in (and are also very expensive here). There is zero plastic in this Boonboo and I really like the black color because it makes it easy to see how much cleaning these are actually accomplishing (a bit yucky but fascinating nonetheless). Very mild flavor hardly noticeable. Natural fibers provide scrubby texture recommended by dentists for proper cleaning unlike those plastic flat flosses which will never decompose for 10,000 years and don't really clean anyway. Thin yet strong enough I had no problems with it breaking while using. Recommended.

Great floss and good value
BOONBOO Dental Floss, Bamboo Charcoal Woven Threads, Refillable Glass Bottle, 3 Pieces, Mint$9.64 after tax on 7/16/2024I have purchased this floss multiple times and it has quickly become my favorite. The width is perfect for my teeth and the woven threads do the job better than the waxed floss I have tried in the past.

Quality Gone Down?
I have been a loyal purchaser and user of this Bamboo floss for over 2 years now. I wasn’t impressed with normal floss anymore as it doesn’t seem to grasp and catch plaque. I miss older floss that isn’t coated but it doesn’t seem they make much of that anymore. That’s why I decided to try the bamboo floss, and have really loved the way it cleans in between my teeth. However, the last order I paved the spools are NOTICEABLY smaller and the quality seems to have gone down as the floss is sort of coming apart when I pull through glass bottle. The image will show an older spool I had purchased previously (which actually wasn’t spun right and doesn’t come out of the bottle correctly) and the new one I purchased. (These were both refill spools but in glass bottles from previous orders)

It works!
I prefer a textured floss over the usual waved variety. This product combines qualities of both -- easy to use, along with good scrubbing action between my teeth. It is now my default brand. (One caveat: The dispenser, the clear vial, is real glass -- rugged enough, but it will shatter when dropped on a tile floor.)

Really good grip for squeaky clean feel.
I have been using this floss for over a year. I love it. My dentist is happy. It is strong and just really grabs the plaque. It’s very satisfying.

Finally, a great replacement for Listerine woven floss
While working at a periodontal office I got hooked on using Listerine woven floss and was assured it was the best tool for the job. Since Listerine discontinued this floss (!?) I've been looking for a replacement. Coco floss is nice but too expensive. I love everything about this Boonboo floss and will continue to purchase.

FINALLY! a sustainable floss!
I’d researched & looked for quite some time for a floss that could replace the synthetic floss that’s ubiquitous. There’s a # of such alternative flosses out there, but their ratings or something just didn’t satisfy me. I received 2 wound bamboo floss (reminded me of cocoons). Better than I’d expected. The bamboo rarely breaks while using (& it breaks only because I’m being hard on it, reusing the same section of the floss strand more than 1x). It’s strong enough that you can’t break it easily like thread, but have to cut it, for your length of flossing section. It’s thick enough to satisfy my gaps between my teeth (caused by periodontal disease👉receding gums) and does NOT slide off before doing its job, like traditional floss does when I’m using it. I’m also glad they package this in recyclable paperboard. I don’t recall any plastic at all in the packaging, which is one of my bugaboo pet peeves (a BIG ‘➕’ to NOT have plastic, IMO!). I’d give it a 5 if it was ready to use the moment I received it, but I had to find something to cut it (I use nail clippers). Whenever I have the time, I thought I’d wind it around a former floss container (non recyclable plastic, mind you) and reuse that so it has at least a sharp edge to cut it off. Almost seems sacrosanct to put it in a plastic container, tho, with it being made so sustainable!

strong, nice flavour, does a great job
I wanted an alternative to plastic, I was worried about micro plastics. I'm also fond of charcoal dental products, I find they do a great job and last longer. This dental floss is strong, it never breaks. It has a nice flavour, does a great job. It also comes in an elegant little bottle and though it looked like it might be hard to get the floss to pull off it actually works perfectly and you can see exactly when it needs refilling.

My favorite dental floss
A quality product bought many times. I use it every day. Way better than regular floss. It's a bit irregular and sticky making it more effective in grabbing food left between teeth. It doesn't slip easily from your fingers like the regular overwaxed floss. I should take a star off for the packaging but I'm feeling generous ;-) The product comes into an overplastified box that you can't even recycle. It's pretty bad for a green product like bamboo floss.

Works great
These are the second batch I got from them (I think, the other brand had a very very similar name, I think they're the same?), the floss is strong and last awhile. It came in zero waste packaging, which I appreciate. The only problem some people may have with these is they're quite a bit thicker than the normal dental floss (think more like normal embroidery thread thick), so if you have very very tight teeth, this may be an issue? I can also do without the mint flavour.

Works very well on tight teeth
This particular brand and material works quite well on tight teeth. Minimal tearing or shredding. Other similar organic options like corn or silk I've found are either not fine enough or they break multiple times during flossing. If you're looking for an organic solution in a fine floss, this will work. Only knock is that the spool doesn't unravel particularly well near the end of the length. It'll stick or knot together and you can find yourself wasting a bit trying to get in untangled. It could do better with a longer length with a post or something at the core to ensure a tangle free experience.
