This is the first- and so far only- metal earth model i’ve done, whist easy to follow the excellent instructions and in principle straightforward- it is very detailed work and very fiddly.The correct equipment is advisable,I would buy again- end product is beautiful- but requires effort and time and steady hand!

Great model - hard to build!
End result was really good, but I felt most people (adults, let alone the 14+ it advertises) would struggle. The tabs are minuscule and require very particular pliers to deal with successfully, and a lot of care, patience, and incredible eyesight. I am a very practical adult but I fear many would find it too much,.

Brilliant design but boring to build
If you like Harry Potter then this is a great item. Compared to other metal earth kits I found this one very boring to make and the instructions are quite confusing. But the end result is a cool Snitch that looks good on display.

Waste of money
I really didn't enjoy making this. The pieces are so flimsy made from wire that you end up cutting yourself just to remove from the templates (even when using the tools required!)It doesn't look great as the model is tiny and the golden ball section isn't even round, it's more of a hexagonal prism. Don't waste your money on this one.

Was expecting better!!
Love the concept, but an absolute nightmare to do, if you don't get it right first time the metal easily breaks, but then every little job to do on it is fiddly, annoying and frustrating. My son had to improvise with using blu tac to fit it together (both on the inside and the outside) which he did well with but he shouldn't have had to do it, can't send it back in that condition, so unable to ask for a refund or replacement.
