Having bought and used 2 of these now i can give a fair review.Pros:Powerful, cheap, easy to take apart and clean and customise. Powerhorse that keeps going for weeksCons:Very tall (only an issues with tanks under 2ft as it's around 22") but because you can use 2,3 or 4 compartment trays it's easily remedied.It's not made of high quality materials but for the price what do we expect. The first one lasted me around a year and a half and the underneath of the powerhead cracked.A tad noisy even without the air hose!Summery:All in all this filter is fab for the money, it does a great job, especially on circulation!

Performance is great. TBF I use the pond media in mine, but I like the depth these go to and the power...the downside is the length of the power cord..

Larger than expected but make yo remove a compartment. Suction power was surprisingly good. Easy to assemble, just stack compartments. Easy to clean. Appearance wise it’s ok. Water clarity improved so does work. Ok for smaller tanks only. Did raise temp by 1-3 degrees.

This is a powerful filter. I have it in a 6 foot tank and it is doing a great job.. Fantastic price for such a powerful filter

The powerhead for this filter lasted less than one year. Disinterest from the seller regarding any warranty.Buy cheap, buy twice!Definitely not recommended.

The media could not be loaded.  For the price of the filter initially I thought it was a pretty good buy however the power of the filter (i bought 3) has decreased and the air filter ceases to work on any of them and had even snapped off on one as the photo shows ,have had them less than 3 months, so the sturdiness is disappointing .Luckily I have my main filter 407 fluval,that is about 9 times the price is alot more sturdy. Its a shame as have had to come here as had real problems finding contact with the seller.,I am very experienced with filters .This filter started promising and as mentioned before I have a main filter that's more than does the job , these filters were for more oxygenation of the water .if the filter company can sort out the problem or give a remedy I will,be happy to,change my review but as of now am a disappointed customer.

Having run many tanks (and a pond) for many years I can assure you that I have bought lots of different filters in my time. I recently bought one of these to replace an old large Fluval filter. I can honestly say that you may as well stop looking for any other filters, you will not find a better one than this for the price. It does a great job in my 6ft tank. It's well made, very powerful, not too noisy, and less than £20!!! Bargain!! It performs just as well if not better than a £60 Fluval filter. In fact, if you want better, you'll have to spend £80+ on an external canister filter.
