I had to smile at the review by 'Workshop King'. I don't think he realised that it's supposed to have a distressed look. To me it looks authentically aged.I've got mine in the garage so that I can tell when it's too cold to paint or when it's time for a hand warming cup of tea. If I have one quibble it's that the tube containing the mercury (or whatever it is) could be a bit thicker and therefore easier to read the temperature.

Really disappointed in the quality of this product for the price. It came looking like it had been very poorly finished. Not worth more then £4.99.
