price is right, especially considering I didn't have to add an errand to go out in the world looking for one.the only thing is the fit of the lid and cup has gaps, shown in the pic. not an issue for me, but some may not like this. (you will need a gap to get the tea out after all)

the Gaiwan pours as it is supposed to, and it is a good addition to my morning tea routine! However, my only gripe is that somehow the lid I received has a defect in it, a small brown spot that unfortunately is very easy to see on an otherwise spotless white teacup and lid. I hope to contact the seller and update the review, if they are willing to send me a new lid! UPDATE: a week later I noticed a lot of tea in the saucer, even though I could see I was not spilling…it then highlighted a crack along the side. I will be returning it as this happened before the return window ended.

bought to serve oolong tea, gong fu style. my lid did have a slight gap, but we are using this gaiwan for gung fu serving of tea, duh?
