Used these to pick up fruit fingers at a wake.

Long enough and strong enough for cherry tomato and mini mozzarella balls but not so long that you’re in danger of giving yourself a tonsillectomy!!

Such strong, well made sticks and they look so beautiful. I can’t wait to use them this weekend for a christening. My practice one looks so pretty. 5 stars for quality and precision alone.

I'll keep it simple; basically these serve the same function as the traditional wooden cocktail sticks but, if you use them for things like harpooning small food, dangling stuff in drinks, nibbles, all that lark - theyre definitely a) prettier, and b) easier to manipulate, as theyre noticeably longer and have the little twillocky bit at the end you can get a better hold on. Also for pricking stuff/ testing cake readiness etc, same applies - they do the job and are easier to use doing it. So all in all - they can be described as "fancier and better" in this arena.However if youre the sort to use cocktail sticks for things other than food (I dont know what people get up to in their spare time, but Im thinking like crafts and what not) theyre probably not the one, since theyre comparatively bulkier, only have one "business end", and the "business end" isnt as sharp. Theyre also noticeably flatter and a smidge thicker than the wood ones, so while theyre designed well for their intended purpose, theyre not as versatile as the traditional ones.Also these are essentially upgraded cocktail sticks, NOT skewers, so dont buy them if you were thinking theyd make a good platform for small kebabs or something, because they probably wont.I however do not engage in such multifaceted shenaniganry, and only use them for food based antics, so for that theyre great -BUT -big watchout, and the reason I cant rate them 5 star; theyre very, very... "thready" - all of them have fibres hanging off them - mainly on the knot end, but plenty of them have loose strands of bamboo coming off the stick: theyre easy to pick off before jabbing at your food, but especially if younger kids will be using them you probably will want to spend a bit of time first stripping the loose threads off to ensure nobody gets a bit of bamboo left in their strawberry - and will need to pay a bit more attention than you would with traditional ones if preparing a batch of something.Overall though, a great alternative if youre happy to spend a bit extra

Better beacause they’re longer than usual sticks..good for cocktails and canapés.
