Great Dryer and Spool Holder In One
Rewritten: I recently purchased the Kingroon Filament Dry Box to protect my 3D printing filaments from moisture, and I have to say, this product has exceeded my expectations in terms of value and ease of use.One of the standout features of this product is the buckle design that allows me to lock the cover tight and keep external moisture out. The box comes equipped with rubber seal strips that work effectively to isolate any moisture that may be present in my workspace. The desiccants are placed inside the box to absorb any moisture that may have already made its way into my filament spools, ensuring that they stay dry.The LCD display is another great feature of this product, as it displays the real-time temperature and humidity inside the box, making it easy to monitor and adjust as necessary. The two couplers included with the box allow me to fit different filament feeding directions on different 3D printers, which adds to the versatility of the product. The aluminum spool holder inside the box is sturdy and reliable, supporting the filament spool and keeping it in place while drying or printing. The product is also very easy to use, with a simple setup that doesn't require any special skills or knowledge.Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of this dry box. It's an affordable and effective solution that offers excellent value for its price. The ease of use and reliability of this product make it a must-have for anyone looking to protect their filament from moisture and ensure the best possible print quality. I highly recommend this product to all 3D printing enthusiasts. There are DIY options on Printables and Thingiverse that work the same way but once you source parts and spend the time printing, this is a much easier option.

Great setup and build quality
Use this for printing TPU, all the parts fit great and keeps the filament dry while in storage or printing.

Good design but flawed packaging
I've ordered this product two times and both times the humidity sensor has arrived stuck to the paper instructions. This ruins the clear adhesive used to attach the sensor to the case.I suspect that they're attaching the humidity sensor at the factory and it's falling off inside the packaging later because the clear adhesive that they use isn't strong enough. It's a moderately annoying problem but can be solved if you have some double backed foam tape.Outside of that, I like the design of the box and it seems to work well to keep my filament dry.

Works for me, with some flaws.
Update9/15/24- I designed a better filament guide where the PTFE tube doesn’t get sucked into the box and causes a jam. It’s a free file on printables, just search for “Kingroon Dry Box Top Feed Filament Guide” (I’m not sure if Amazon will allow another website’s link in a review)I print in the basement and it can be a bit damp so I wanted to print out of some type of container. I had my filament set up to print out of my Sunlu drier but if I wanted to dry another roll, I would need another drier. This works for me as I can keep the filament in the container and print from it. And now my dryer is free for use.Out of the box the hydrometer was already on and had a frown face on it as you can see in the photo. I also wish the ptfe tube was longer. I’d like to switch to print out of the top but I have to figure out how to seal up the side outlet.Update: I switched the ptfe tube out so it comes out of the top. For some reason the supplied tube does not stay into the fittings. It’s seems that the barbs on the inside get bent very easily so it slides in and out.It would be nice if Kingroon would sent me replacement fittings.Update: I reached out to Kingroon and they sent me a replacement. I was hoping for a better results but it seems it is the same issue. The biggest issue is the fitting that is attached onto the red round disc to print out of the top of the container. It will pull the supplied ptfe tubing into the container and cause a jam. I have had this happen 2 times so far. The fitting on the disc should be replaced with something that has an actual stop for the tubing to not go all the way through. It has little teeth inside of the fitting so it started to tear up the outside of the tubing. The tubing supplied is short so if you want to use the side outlet of the container you may have to purchase longer tubing to keep it as one continuous piece. I’m going to have jerry-rig the top so it doesn’t pull the tubing into the container.Kingroon should use the same fitting for both ways to feed the filament but unfortunately they are / different pieces.

Works great
This box works really well for my situation with me using my 3d printer as an hobby and allows me to keep my filament and good print quality on my ender 3 for much longer than I could before. I did pair my box with some reusable desiccants to make things better and easier down the road, but other than that it’s pretty much plug and play. I love how I’m able to print straight from the box and the filament included is also quite nice and compared to my previous filaments, it’s a night and day difference. Definitely would recommend and buy again. I could’ve made one but I’d rather just buy it and have it work without all the prototyping to make my own. Plus this box also came with a thing of filament which I would reccomend.

100% worth it
Dual purpose. It’s dry storage and you can print straight from it. No need to pull your spool off the hanger anymore to pack it away for a different day.Plenty of room in the bottom for desiccant packs. The hygrometer is a little slow and the temp only reads in Celsius. I swapped it out with a different one.Put 3 or 4 of these next to each other and you have quick access to different color filaments. The only thing I would like to see changed is which side the bottom filament pass through is on. It would be nice to have it on the same side as the hygrometer. The side it’s on is frosted so if you just move the hygrometer, it’s still visible but not very well.

This is not a "dryer". There is no heating element.
To call this a filament "dryer" is to stretch the term nearly beyond recognition. It is a box into which you put filament and a bag of dessicant which is then presumed to dry the filament.

Great product
Firstly, I will say that this item is great. Yes, it's a cereal box with some bits added but like most people I can't be bothered finding the parts and drilling them down etc.My printing room is fairly humid at about 63% on a standard day, took just 48h to kill off a PETG reel which I am still fuming about so bought this. Hygrometer inside shows the humidity to be just 12% compared to the current 59% outside. Only downside is the hygrometer comes glued to the instruction manual and it drove me properly nuts.Other than that, would buy again when the time arises despite it being a cobbled together product.
