One great office chair mat.
This replacement mat for under our home office chair is a real improvement over the "Best" one from Office Depot that it replaced. The fact that it's guaranteed not to crack for life is a huge plus. I think the seller might want to put a note about its condition on arrival in the product description, however. Since it was rolled like a carpet for some few days in the Summer heat, when we took the mat out of the box it was speed bumpy. I panicked and if I hadn't already recycled the box might have returned it. Cooler heads prevailed, and after 24 hours the mat is perfectly flat and exactly what we were looking for.

Perhaps spend more money
Comes rolled up so you need to unroll flat with weighted items on top at least overnight to flatten it. Preferably in a warm environment.Size is good.Material is on the thin side so your wheels will leave divots if you stay in one spot too long so will make for a bumpy ride when rolling around. Kind of annoying. If a cheap solution is needed on a budget this could be it. IIf you want the great quality of 20 years ago that really lasts then perhaps look to spending more money on a better brand.

Does the job
Got this mat today. First I was happy that it shipped folded like a taco and not rolled up. It flattened out well and hasn't been a problem. It is very clear and not frosted like most mats I've had were, but that doesn't matter to me. I'm in a home office on regular carpet about 1/2" thick and it holds fine, no shifting or anything. It's not super thick and does seem to easily leave indentations if you stay in one place. I don't like that because if you just want to move a little your chair wants to roll back in the divots. It's supposedly has a 'no crack' guarantee. I work at my computer all day, so I'll definitely put it through it's paces, if anything changes I'll update this review.

Much better than I expected
Here's what I said about this product after it first arrived: "I'll admit to being overweight. Just over 200 pounds at six foot two. I'll also admit to being cheap. So I bought this item rather than something that CLAIMS it would bear up under my load, for twice the price. I know I'll have to replace this one in less than a year. After only a few days' use, it's already started to sag under the wheels of my chair. Tough break; I knew it would happen, and I'll pay the price for replacement grudgingly again someday. After all, I don't regard chairmats as products I wish to "invest" in..."Okay, so a year and a half have passed and the thing is still in one piece. Frankly, I'm astonished and a enormously gratified. Sure, it quickly develops dimples into the berber carpet it rests on wherever the wheels of my office chair land. The dimples are deep enough to make it a bit hard to roll out of them when I need to change my position. But hey, the thing hasn't yet given up the ghost. "Takes a licking and keeps on ticking." So to be fair, I've raised my original three star rating for this mat to fully five stars. I've paid three times as much for mats in the past; none have ever lasted as long as this one has.

Mat Self-destructed in Less Than a Year
I've had this mat for less than a year and I absolutely hate it. There is really no other way to state my experiences with this brand of vinyl mat.I have very good quality medium pile carpet in my home office. I had a vinyl mat purchased at a major office supply store and it lasted nearly 8 years. As with all mats, it eventually began to crack where there was a lot of wheel traffic. The same mat was no longer available at any local stores, so I decided to try this mat from Amazon.com. All was well for about three weeks, but then I noticed it tended to "walk" and fail to stay anchored. It would push up against the base of my desk and start to buckle. About every eight or nine days I would have to move everything around my desk and lift and reposition the mat. Sometimes I could go as long as a month - and then notice that the mat had actually "walked" up against a table leg and started to buckle. Then I noticed small cracks on the underside of the mat, not on the surface - like it was shrinking. This was all very confusing to me as I do not roll around in my office chair a lot and am not overweight in any sense. Finally, the mat just started cracking and splitting, even in areas where my rolling chair does not venture (like under a desk extension where my chair never rolls. I now have to get another vinyl mat quickly as this one is literally breaking up right under my feet. (Our home is not excessively warm or moist - temperatures are very stable in the mid to low 70s.) I have no clue why this mat would begin breaking up - and walking - so much more than the previous mat I had that lasted nearly a decade. Hopefully, my experience is an oddity, but I doubt it.

I should have sent it back.
The mat seems okay, now that I can finally use it, but the packaging was horrible. There were 2 large product stickers on the surface, one of which I had to soak in nail polish remover to be able to finally scrape it off with a knife. Even after several wipes with nail polish remover and Goof Off, there is still a film of adhesive on there. Plus, there were 6 different pieces of wide shipping tape (on there for no reason that I could see) that had become one with the mat. Each one I tried to take off would tear into little strips as I peeled. It took me an hour to get all this crud off before I could use the mat. No wonder the price seemed so good.

Works well.
Will it have indentations from your roller-comfortable executive chair? Well yes, if it isn't on a "Hard Floor". When placed on a carpet base, it (mat) will not move as the underlying stubs securely hold it in position but will allow some indentions due to the weight placed on it. They are not permanent and will re-establish as your chair settles into another location. I bought it for the size only. I don't expect a carpet mounted mat to not do the proverbial indentations. Good price and shipment (Big Box with item folded in half).

Very thick mat
I like the thickness and durability of this mat, however it does still slide on the carpet a little bit each day, as there are no rivets (teeth on the underside, so I am constantly having to re-position it

It's not as thick and sturdy as I had hoped
I'm surprised at how badly bent this was when it arrived. It was sent in an enormous box, and was folded up awkwardly. I had to use heavy boxes of unbuilt Ikea furniture to flatten it out for 2 days before using it.Once used for a day, the wheels on my chair badly dent this plastic. It's not as thick and sturdy as I had hoped, but it's better than nothing.

But all good now. Pretty soft plastic
Took awhile for the crease to come out since it was shipped folded in half. But all good now.Pretty soft plastic, my chair wheels make a dent that I get stuck in when sitting for more than a few minutes at a time.Wouldn't recommend for a high pile carpet. But, for the price definitely worth the purchase
