Great once built.fires a great distance and is fun to use. Instructions were tricky and required adult assistance for an 8 yr old with good build experience.

Got as a birthday gift for 8year old. He built the models no problem and loves that they fire. There’s some speed to the “bullets” when fired.

K'Nex 15247 K’NEX K-Force Battle Bow Build and Blast SetI'm sure most of us will remember K'Nex? My grown up son certainly remembers. When he saw that I had received this, he said 'Cor, can I have it'. I know exactly where he was coming from as I too was hankering to build this. There certainly are and have been many various types of build and construct toys, or should I say hobby kits? all were great fun to build. My son had a huge collection of K'Nex when he was young , he spent many long hours building various creations.This K'Nex kit is the Battle Bow Build and Blast Set. Inside the box are 3 bags full of a huge amount of bits and pieces used to build this bow. Also in the box is the handle for the bow, along with a full colour booklet giving instructions on how to put this together. All of the parts are in various colours, they are made from bendable plastic that is virtually impossible to break. Some parts are a little small and fiddly to fix together, they also could be a risk for a small child.Like all construction kits, this is great fun to build. In fact the building is more fun than actually playing with the finished bow. Once built you can actually fire foam arrows at the target which you also have to build. There are 5 foam arrows provided, these are quite harmless, they shouldn't cause any damage or pain if hit. But, as with any projectile, eyes could be at risk.There are many parts to this kit, much more than I had imagined. The box is quite sturdy so it's a good place to store the K’NEX. But, part of the target is printed on the box, it is suggested that the target is cut out of the side of the box. If the box is cut then the K’NEX will fall out. Surely it wouldn't have been too much trouble to have provided a couple of cardboard targets in the box instead of having to destroy the box? That irritation aside, this is a great fun toy which I'm sure will keep most children (and adults) amused for hours.Thank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.
