Oh So CUTIE!!🏀❤❤ - Sure to Please Kids & Parents!😊
After months of anticipation, I could not wait to open this *adorable* older sister to the LOL Surprise(!) Hoops MVP tot (S1 & Glitter) & Lil Hoops dolls (sold separately,😉 see photo 4)!These dolls fall size- & age-wise "between" their younger precocious toddler/tot & older OMG siblings/mates (shown with Sweets [S4 OMG]/Sugar family & Hoops MVP Glitter younger sister in photo 4). Indeed, the term "tween", short for "tweenager", usually means 10-12 year-olds, i.e., almost teenagers. Compared to dolls of a similar "age-representation", at about 7 inches/18cm, Tweens align with Barbie Stacies & inspirational Lottie (both 7.5"/19cm) dolls, but are shorter than Mattel's Creatable World (10"/26cm) dolls.Hoops' *full* curly hair is the softest shiniest afro-style!! Absolutely luscious😊❤, with stiff product *only* in her elaborately-adorned top-knot--a terrific natural-hair representation!Upon sliding open the box (photo 1, taped seals first cut), I was delighted that they come dressed--Hoops in themed athleisure. Gone is the sexy OMG underwear that startled some parents. In fact (I checked), the painted panties are full-cover bikinis, no sexy thongs. OK, some parents might still object to Hoops' belly-button revealing orange crop top. However, there are more modestly-dressed Tweens in the series. 🤔Tip: Or, you could very easily fashion your own top from the tiniest scrap of fabric (child's sock?) & minimal sewing (or glue)!🧵🎽The detail in the clothes, that much smaller, is stunning! Velcro is used to close both the top & jacket; the latter I found to be an awkwardly tight fasten. 🤔Tip: As with OMGs, you'll have to pull off the hands to get the tight jacket sleeves on her arms.I wish she had an additional pair of trainers/sneakers, her fashion obsession we're told, for her uniquely-sized tiny feet. They're small enough to wear Barbie & Snapstar high-heels, which are plentiful--but not the other way around. Plus, LOL tots can play dress-up in them. Why they gave a "10-12 year-old" fixed high-heeled feet is beyond me.🙄 I'll forgive MGA that lapse! She comes with the new (2021+) "seatless" doll stand. The additional C-holder helps hold her legs in place. 🤔Tip: I re-purposed one of the longer clear elastics from the packaging to hold her younger sister in place on her shorter articulated arms.Don't throw away the cardboard, as it's all designed to form a reusable bedroom playset. The plastic hat & shoe-boxes of OMGs have been replaced with more environmentally-friendly cardboard tool/makeup- & shoe-boxes, containing gold earrings & necklace, hair-rings, sunglasses, snazzy trainers, comb & mobile phone (of course😉). There's a magazine, too. Remove the "Zoom-ready" bookcase & flip it over to discover the bed. Better yet, if you slide open the underbed drawer, you'll discover her basketball🏀 purse, which actually opens (photo 3).Last, but not least, mine came with 5 super tiny hair braiding rings--destined to go missing & a choking hazard alert for pets & very young children.😟 You'll need tweezers or long fingernails to apply them. 🤔Tip: I inserted my fingernail in the slit on the side, braced the back against my forefinger (photo 3), then rubbed (using a sawing motion) the fuchsia-pink braid, held taut with the other hand, down along my fingernail until it slid into place. I then used a clear nail polish (basecoat) to help seal them onto the braid. You could use glue, but nail polish allows for future change. I also tied knots in the ends of each braid & painted those with polish (might change to glue), as the slippery braid cord kept unknotting.Thank you MGA & thank you Amazon for such speedy availability!😊😊

Unnecessary packaging
I know that’s what these lol dolls are all about but what a complete and unnecessary waste of packaging. It’s what my niece wanted so it’s what my niece got for her birthday, but even on offer I think they’re a waste of money 😂

Super cute
What can I say. Kids love em. They're overpriced but come with a cute "room" in the box and accessories kids enjoy. She's beautiful and her hair feels amazing. If you're reading this, please give my review a thumbs up. It encourages me to keep sharing my thoughts.
