Important pillar to your project
For total beginners from different cultures this book undoubtedly helps familiarise with the alphabet and how to draw Bengali letters. From experience often the best way / approach for adults to learn new foreign language is to do it like children do it ;-)

Bengali alphabet
This book introduces the letters of the Bengali alphabet.. It is "taught" by a dog named Sir. Each letter is named, and there are pictures of words containing it. There are coloring exercises and puzzles. You can also practice writing the letters. In addition to learning the Bengali letters, they also go great with calligraphy. You can do some artistic lettering with them.

Not Your Ordinary ABC s!
This book is a partner to the book that teaches children how to write in Bengali, and, yes, it is geared for children--but I don't know what I could have done without it. The Bangla alphabet has many, many more letters than the English alphabet, and much of them are very similar, so the visuals in this book are a great help to students.

I don’t know to what extent it could be useful for Bangla learners
It is a very basic book for children. I don’t know to what extent it could be useful for Bangla learners. Bangla letters are very big and easy to see but there are very limited exercises for practicing. On the other hand, the workbook contains many activities that can be very helpful to recognize and identify the Bangla letters. If you are beginner and want to use this book, you might need the help of a teacher to tell you how to pronounce the letters and their name.

Alphabet
This book would have been more useful if it was actually created by native Bangladeshi speakers which it obviously wasn't by the use of vocabulary that doesn't appear in Bangladesh and the lack of information pertaining to the pronunciation of letters together such as how the "i" sound appears in written words in Bengali. I don't recommend it as a learning tool for new beginners or anyone for that matter as it was poorly researched and executed.
