This Pedal/pickup combination is amazing! This pick up is at first a bit daunting to stick on if you are not confident about fitting temporary pickups but after you do, my word the pedal does all the work and you just have to play, One minute I had a 12string guitar in my lap and I could hear the slap on the wooden body then next I'm playing a synth bass then after I'm in drop C# without tuning down, amazing! A must have and the sounds are clean, modern and awesome.

Spare for gigs - best price on the web and a Roland product. Lot of cheap ones out there but why would you?Failure when standing on stage - shiver!

So a few issues. Start with the good stuff, it arrived on time and all packaged. Now I say on time, they delivered it to a different address because apparently I wasn’t in, which I was. No knock on the door, no bell ringing, my dog didn’t bark, the guy didn’t come. No letter or anything left so I got a message at around 6pm saying that it would be delivered on a different day, then I got another email, around 8pm saying it was delivered to a different address so that was really confusing. I did get it the next day so not too bad. However, on Rolland/distributed behalf, maybe I was naive but I was expecting the GK-3 input as well but it was not to be found. Keep that in mind that you’ll have to buy that separate.

Roland GK cables go between Roland GK pickups or compatibles -- such as those in Godin synth access guitars -- and either a Roland VG 99, V Base, or a Roland GR-55K Guitar Synth or equivalent. Essentially, they are multi-pin cables which send separately the six signals coming from a guitar divided pickup.This is the official Roland cable. I've never had a problem with the Roland ones, though the connections have to be in just right and this can be temperamental on a Godin unless you wrap it round your strap as well. I've had two non-Roland ones. One was just dreadful, the other was ok but did not lock as well as the Roland and I stopped using it.If you're connecting up a Roland signal splitter, you can get short cables as well. This is the 5 metre cable, which is a decent length for on stage if you're not running up and down too much.

Excellent piece of kit. As others have said it's a pain having to switch through a lot of patches to get to the one you want but I found I could copy the ones I used most to user definable patches through 90 to 100.

Very happy with my purchase. Had this for a few weeks know and I'm getting some lush sounds out of it. The acoustic guitars are brilliant me to my ear and sound really good.Haven't use it in a recording session yet though but will do soon.

Cable does what it’s supposed to do but extremely fragile. Have no idea how you could gig with it.
