A big lock for an expensive bike.I'll be honest, I only ordered this as its a requirement of my pedal cycle insurance to have a gold approved lock.It's a bit of a pain to carry around with you, but once you get used to it in your bag, it's fine. Such as the world we live in these days.High quality and plenty of keys.

Bought this as its gold standard, and its def sturdy. Very heavy and my bike frame wouldn't allow me to fix this to my bike with the attachment- so it lives in my rucksack when i cycle. Hopefully i never need to test the security features. But judging on quality and weight, this is a very sturdy lock and lots of peace of mind..

I bought this in addition to another D-lock to fully secure my bike in London at night. My other D-lock is a mini Kryptonite Krypto-lock (also Sold Secure Gold). This one is probably a little heavier, however the plastic coverings on the base make it feel less strong than the fully steel Krypto-lock. I am happy with this lock as you get a small LED light on one key plus four spares; however I think I shall continue to use my Krypto-lock as my main lock when venturing out in London. Delivery was prompt and arrived the day before estimated.

Hefty, strong look and feel. A tad shorter than my old rounder lock and so more difficult to squeeze the front wheel in when it's through the frame and rear wheel but taking off the bit that's supposed to clip into the bracket helped.Fingers crossed that this will make my tatty old bike less appealing to a thief than the next bike.

Great lock however a bit on the heavier side of things, but if this is not an issue for you. Then I would go for it!
