Purchased because of the price. Made a video on it. Works perfect with everything i load onto it. Steam deck included.

The quality of the cable is good, but they need to list the 5Gbps part to not cause confusion, or misunderstanding (at least for the 6ft version.) The USB organization changed the definitions to were there are three versions of 3.2 so unless they tell you the Gbps speeds assume the lowest. Mine was tested for 5Gbps (use to be known as 3.0/5Gbps) I actually needed a 10Gbps or better so I can use this on my SteamDeck with a non thunderbolt dock however it's not powerful enough. It will work as a extension to charge it only, but it's just doesn't have the power to due both 40W+ power and large bandwidth of data at the same time efficiently/safely. I am going to keep it for one of my external SATA3 SSDs and/or when I need to charge a device from a greater distance, but I am disappointed that it's not for my original plan which was a extension from my dock to my SteamDeck. I am going to have to pony up the extra cost for a certified 10Gbps or 20Gbps extension cable.

I'm using this to extend a tethering cable for my Canon dSLR and it works great.

For better or worse Apple has decided that USB-C ports are all you need on your MacBook Pro, so our lives are full of dongles. I like to use my MBP while sitting on the recliner while connected to the power supply, an external monitor, and an external hard disk. I have a dongle that allows me to connect all of these to my MBP through a single port. Unfortunately such dongles all have short cords, so that makes up to 3 different cables running to the recliner. Ugh. I also worry about the mechanical strain of the dongle plus the weight of the 3 cables, pulling down on the MBP's port.So instead I use this extension cord to run to my end table, and have the dongle velcro'd to the underside of the table. This keeps all the cables nice and tidy with just the one cord to my recliner. I have no problems keeping the MBP charged while using this extension. Just be sure to use a dongle that has an adequate USB-C power passthru port, they are not all created equal in this regard.There is a "must read" card that comes with this extension cord which mentions that you may have to switch the USB-C plug orientation for some USB devices. I did have this happen with one of my external hard drives which at first appeared not to be working. So not a big deal and an easy fix if you know about this quirk. An improvement would be if the cord was a little bit more flexible. It is not stiff by any means, but it is less flexible than the cord that comes with Apple's charger. On the other hand I prefer the cloth covering on this cord over the silicone sheathing of the Apple cord. Hi have bought this to USB-C extension cable to allow me to primarily extend a charging cable to my desk. This cable not only allows me to charge my tablet and phone, but it also will allow data transfer.When I connect my phone (Pixel 2XL) it reports charging 'rapidly', which is at about 18w. This is at the fastest the phone can support, which is great.The cable is durable, easy to roll up and connect ends when needed. I expect it to last a long time, and as it will stay connected with little movement from its current position, I expect there will be no issues with this cable for a very long time.This is a great cable for holidays, work trip, home and office, to extend a existing charging cable or data transfer cable, allowing you to connect a phone/ tablet to a hard drive, monitor, PC or TV.

I have a docking station for my home working station but for some strange reason the lead connecting to my laptop is really short. I picked up this USB-C thunderbolt lead to extend the hub, so I could tidy it away and just have a lead on my desk to connect to my laptop. The lead is wrapped in a nice velvety cover and therefore looks good, but overall it plugs in, extends my lead and delivers display to both monitors and power to charge my lenovo laptop. Exactly what i needed.

I recently got a Pixel phone, and I love it, but the charger cable is too short. When I'm on the bed, battery is almost death, but I still want to look at my phone, I need something longer. It's USB C, so none of my USB cables would work, and I decided to get a new one. Then I saw there was an extender, and it looked good, so I purchased this one.Happy with the results, more than long enough, good quality, quick charge, and clips to keep it tidy. Recommended!

Does a great job with power and display, but USB connectivity is flawed.The cable comes with instructions to turn the connector around if USB devices are not working (weirdly it only works one way on what should be a reversible cable) but, while this does allow connected USB2 devices to function, they behave very buggy (e.g. eratic mouse movement).
