We are setting up our camper for hitting the road more often, and one area we've been lacking in is prepping our kitchen for keeping our food sealed up. This can become a real issue when you're camping in campgrounds that aren't set aside, monitored RV parks. Ants and bugs are always a problem, but if you're in a national forest or park you then have to worry about critters with a great sense on smell.I really like the heavier plastic containers with heavy duty lid hinges for sealed storage, but they're a bit fragile and will easily break when dropped. These, however, are made of a more forgiving, flexible plastic. The material is like a heavy Tupperware, and it works well for thumping down the road and containers falling out at you when you open a cabinet (been there too often)! The only part I worry about on these containers is the hinge for clamps that pull the lid down onto the container. It's made of the same flexible plastic, and will wear out over time from the bending, releasing and flex from the pressure of holding the seal. Once that happens, these will lose their ability to remain airtight. However, these are also a fraction of the price of the heavier plastic containers so they fairly inexpensive to replace.This set is near perfect for our needs as a camper set. The two tallest containers might not fit too well in some places, but the rest of the set are the right size to make cabinet organizing pretty easy. They definitely help clean up the mess of just tossing bags and boxes up in the overhead cabinets half closed and chip clipped. Still need to get more sets, but this is a good starter set to get the organization rolling.
