1st class
I have a pair of Fiskars shears which proved to be very easy to use, well constructed, and extremely effective. When considering a replacement for a broken pair of secateurs I was keen to try another of their products. They have proved to be an excellent tool with a strong cutting action and an excellent grip. The swivel handle feels odd at first but is very comfortable for prolonged use. Because of their size these secateurs are more suitable for users with larger hands. Highly recommended.

Well worth the price.
These pruners are excellent. Powerful cut which is handy if you do not have much power in your hands and still need to be doing the gardening yourself. Not too heavy and feel comfortable to hold. Very pleased with my purchase and well worth the extra price in comparison to cheaper brands. They arrived in quick time and were well packaged.

Like the action on these firm and precise
Like the action on these firm and precise. Happy with quality and size, fits well in my fairly large hands!

Really good ...Really strong .. really sharp
I like this product a lot. It is strong and sharp which helps with the clean cutting of shrubs and twigs of trees and quite thick twigs at that. The lower handle rotates as you cut which is comfortable and less of a strain.

Brilliant solution for cutting back small branches.
A Great pruner! Much more robust and trouble-free than many conventional secateurs. It will quickly cut through a thickish branch (with a to & fro action). I wish the locking catch was a bit more positive though as it can engage accidentally (esp when well worn). No mention of a guarantee on the backing card but an item of this quality probably doesn't need it.

HAPPY CUTTING - NOT SO MUCH
Impressive. Using these I've managed to cut larger 'branches' without a great deal of effort, than I have managed with my other pruners. They have a nice swivelling action when in use and although light they feel solid in the hand. Comes with a plastic safety case.Update : Reduced to one star. These have a major design flaw. If one uses maximum cut pressure the handle trend and the locking mechanism engages. They are fine in 'normal' use but being up a ladder, for example, pruning medium size branches (medium for the cutters)and constantly having to unlock them quickly becomes a major pain.

Fiskars UK 1000574 P94 (L) PowerGear Pruner
These are the second pair of these that I have bought and these are as good as the first pair! They cut just about everything and, as I have a very large garden, these are fantastic for cutting back all my shrubs (of which there are many). I suggest from Repetitive Strain Injury in my right hand and, because these are a PowerGear Pruner, my hand held up throughout all the cutting. These are cheapest on Amazon and came with free delivery which was great!

Good, but not great
I bought these as a replacement for a very old pair of Wolf-Garten RS22 anvil secateurs. Somehow I'd managed to snap a rivet in the head of them. They did still work but I felt the end was nigh. My wife had previously bought a pair of Fiskars (different model) and was very pleased with them, so I followed her lead.So far I've used these for two solid days of heavy duty pruning. I've used them on very thick and thin, and on holly, beech, ivy, and lots of others shrubs. So far I have to say I like the appearance and construction - they look and feel solid and durable. I'm not going to comment on the sharpness or cutting ability. I think that has to be a given in any pair of secateurs. If they weren't sharp and powerful I'd be returning them, not writing this review.Unfortunately I think I've made a mistake. I would have been better replacing my trusty old Wolf-Gartens with another pair. My reasons?1) Size of handlesWG's view of large is a little bit bigger than Fiskar's view of large and that suits my large hands. I wish manufacturers of hand tools would be a bit more specific about sizes. For example, at the base of my fingers my hands are about 9-10cm wide. Some indication of handle length would be good from manufacturers rather than a generic small, medium or large. (I wonder if they do family size?)2) Design of handlesThe Fiskars is really nicely contoured, very smooth flowing. Just look at it. Isn't it attractive? To me it's just a little too smooth. That, and the rolling handle design (intended to reduce the likelihood of RSI), meant that I felt I couldn't actually exert full-power on the tool. I just didn't feel in total control. Compare it with the WG handle. There's a little bump right between where your index and middle fingers grip, and there's a definite tail that holds your pinkie in place against the rest of your fingers. It's an utterly secure grip allowing the full cutting action to be used safely and freely.3) Miscellaneousa) Colour. The bright-red of the Wolf-Garten's is excellent when you put them down. There's no risk of losing them. Despite the orange splash the Fiskars are nowhere near as conspicuous. Already I fear they'll end up in a cuttings bag or leaf-pile some day.b) Wrist loop. I didn't think I'd miss this from the WGs, but already I'm thinking about drilling a hole in the Fiskars to add a length of cord myself. All of these issues would have been apparent if I had chosen the secateurs at a hardware store or garden centre. Maybe buying this kind of thing online is just asking for problems. Anyway, I'll try them for a few more days, but already I feel I won't be too disappointed if I end up losing or breaking them. They're good products, but just not as good as I'd hoped.

Tagliano in maniera impressionante.
