Air Purifier, Houzetek Mini Air Cleaner for Home with True HEPA Filter, Low Noise Portable Air Purifiers

So far, so good! The air purifier is small enough to put on a desk/cubicle (not the prefab ones from Walmart) with room to spare so I sat next to this thing while I worked for a full eight hours or so. This thing is super quiet, much better than the larger Holmes unit and I could definitely tell a difference in the air quality; I could breathe easier. While the manufacturer may recommend 40 sq. feet, I'm in a 60 sq. ft room and it works beautifully. With a little time I think this purifier could work in a room double the size. There are only two potential flaws. First, where you see the blue light that is actually a small cavity. If debris gets stuck in the unit that could be a problem. Second, the filter at the bottom while good quality, is small (but the unit is small!) so I will need to replace it a lot more often than a larger Holmes unit. Despite these disadvantages, I'm thinking about getting two additional Houzetek purifiers since my husband loved it so much he wants one for his desk area at work!

t does a great job of keeping the air at my desk breathable when my co-workers like to enjoy perfume. I really like the 8 hour setting especially since I find that sometimes turning it off at the end of my day is often forgotten. It does make a faint high pitched noise sometimes, but I can easily block that out.

I really don't know how in any way this has so many good reviews, I've used it for almost a month now and I can almost agree with the latest answer about it only being good 4closet , maybe a CAR ! I have seen no evidence that it works . I personally examined the filter with a microscope . There is no sign of any of the advertised capabilities that I was able to find . Maybe I got a bad one but I can tell its not powerful enough with the usb cord. really let me down .

I got this purifier without reading the description clearly enough. One bullet states: "it produces a concentration of 5 million negative oxygen ions" and several bullets later it states " 100% ozone free, does not emit UV or Ions which produce trace amounts of measurable ozone, no harmful air pollutants". The directions in the box show that it clearly does produce ions. I never write bad reviews, but ions and ozone (for sure) can be very harmful to people with asthma. The best purifier for asthmatics is a hepa one with no ionizing features.

This is a full size air purifier suitable for allergy sufferers. I suffer with mild hay fever and use this in the bedroom. It has a fairly quiet nightime mode and can be left on all night without impacting my sleep. The daytime modes are a little noisier, think fridge freezer, but this is necessary to move enough air through the filter. This unit does noticeably improve my symptoms so if you are looking for a drug free way of combating allergies this is worth a try.

This purifier is very easy to use. You only hear a very soft noise when it is on. It is very attractive and desk top size. The night light is a pretty blue but sets a little low inside the container to be an efficient night light for me. I could smell the difference in the room when it is on. The air smells clean. I use it in my bedroom but a larger room would need 2. Yes I would buy this again.

USB only, no adapter - very quiet, as it moves next to zero air, and has made zero difference. FYI update - I got 2 of these for a small bedroom. They should advertise that there is NO WAY TO SHUT OFF THE LIGHT while the machines run. Even the "nightlight" setting is too bright for me to get any sleep. If you hold it up to your nose, the air does smell clean. FYI - you do not need the extra filters - both of mine stopped moving air, filter changed, still not moving air.

This is currently sitting on my desk in my bedroom (10x8 feet) with the anticipation it will help reduce the amount of dust to a noticeable degree. It has not met my expectations for the past three months (Oct - Jan).Pros:- Aesthetically pleasing with smooth surface and blue LED- Long micro USB cable- Quiet- Carbon filtering- Easy to useCons:- Does not filter enough dust- Intake located on the bottom- Weak fanHaving a weak fan underneath the device really hinders its effectiveness. I have not moved it since its installation and it has accrued a significant amount of dust.If you do not clean your area or ventilate the room regularly, then this product is not for you.Until I can push this off to a relative, it will continue to sit on my desk or go back into its box for donation or recycling. I would not feel comfortable selling it unless someone knows this will meet their precise needs.

The unit was too small for my needs. I'm not sure where this unit might be helpful.
