Honestly I understand it's for kids but the kids cannot use it. Doesn't work even with an adult using all their might. Quite disappointing.

Got this for a friend who played flute and was interested in learning bagpipes. If I wanted to get her something she could actually learn on I should have paid more and gotten a proper chanter, but this was good enough for her to get a smile and a laugh out of. At $30 I really cant complain.The instructions are very vague, and the quality is questionable. She was able to get a sound out of it, but it's laughable. They are hard to hold. The drones are not real, but for some reason they're removable. She tired putting a reed in one and it broke the reed as there wasn't enough room. Even if there was they are not hollow.Basically, a funny noisemaker that looks good as a Scottish decoration. If it were any more expensive I'd have been annoyed. Fine as a gift, but if you want to learn to play, Spend double and a little more and get a decent quality chanter.
