Outstanding, fast-paced, intriguing, shocking, great characters!
If you haven’t read this book yet do not read this review, spoiler alert!Book three (The Memory of Souls) of the Chorus of Dragons Series by Jenn Lyons was gut-wrenching, shocking, mind-boggling, absolutely tantalizing, amazing and dramatic page-turner. The story is in the 1st person, which is intriguing, interesting indeed. It makes it more dramatic and engaging.Jenn Lyons has created some incredible characters—the most-developed and captivating and highly memorable characters are: Kihrin (Rook), Janel Theranon, Xaltorath, Relos Var, Thurvishar D’Lorus, King Kelanis, Senera, Brother Qown, Khaeriel (queen of the Vane), Damaeris, and Grizzst (false Immortal, a wizard). Naturally, the characters that aren’t well established are: Therin, Galava (Immortal), Kaevartz, Argas (Immortal), Kelindel, Khaemezra, Laudvyis, Elidore, , Elana, Rebel, Xivan, Atrin (Emperor of Quur), Talea, Revarric, Lorgrin, and Tamin. In Book 2, Kihrin had a very diminished roll, but it is the opposite in this book. The Memory of Souls begins slowly. The first half of the book was very conversational with very little action. It was disappointing, In the first half of the book, there are moments where the conversations go on for far too long, some action was needed to interrupt the conversation a bit--but the other half of the book was riveting, fast-paced, action-packed, and filled with fabulous revelations, incidents that were so unexpected and shocking! The dragons seem to play very minor rolls in this series even though it is titled the Chorus of Dragons Series. Very ironic indeed. The extensive glossary at the end of the book is magnificent, it helps keep track of the myriad characters, locations, dragons, and families, etc.In conclusion, it had a slow start, but the last half of the book was magnificent and a shocking page-turner. A wonderful read, royal intrigue, amazing characters, exhilarating action, ever evolving story, stunning twists and turns, and decently-paced book. I rate this book 4 stars.

Wow.
Best book yet. Many revelations. Lots of action, more character development, even with minor characters like Terindel, Doc, and Miya. Showcases all the main characters- there are stories from Kihrin, Thurshivar, Talea, Teraeth.. and even Senera! To name a few. Glimpses into the past help the present make sense for our hell warriors. Love comes to light.. along with purpose. Can’t wait to see where this all leads!

A MUST Read for Fantasy Fans!!!!!
A Memory of Souls is F.U.N.If you get nothing else out of this review, I want you to walk away with that! This entire series, A Chorus of Dragons, is FUN and Jenn Lyons just has a way of taking the story in directions that are extremely hard to predict. This book is extremely well written, fast paced and the one liners never stop! But with all of that being said, this story really shines through it's large cast of extremely diverse, complex and well rounded characters. So if you are looking for a deep, complex story with well written characters in exotic settings then, my friend, this one is for you! I know this review was brief, but I don't want to give too much away so you so you'll have to check it out for yourself!

Fantastic! Can’t wait for the rest
Yes. This book is epic in scope, some people will say it’s a mess, but the characters are so engaging, the battles and banter is so fun and the mythology is so refreshing that if you let yourself be evolved by the magic, you will not regret it! Can’t wait for book 4 and 5 :)

And now I wait
Next book is due in May 2021 - I've already got my preorder in place. This book didn't hit me where I live until the last page, but it started strong and ended stronger. I'm hooked through the end.

Robuster
I enjoy reading . I am not picky nor am I hard to please .I read across all genres of books . Fiction and non fiction alike.,I made several attempts at this series . I went back time and agin . I did finally finish the first two. This one was more than I could endure. The series is littered with hundreds of characters, characters who jump bodies become someone else while remaining the same , centuries of plot twists and inner marriages with people who have jumped bodies . Nation upon nation with nation built upon those nations. It is just became to muddled , to hard to keep with , to many characters and plot twists .I didn’t fail this writer as reader of her story , she failed me .Her story was to broad , to jumbled and in my opinion poorly executed.I would NOT recommend this book or this series.

Excellent third book
Excellent Series. Jenn Lyons has another page turner. It is usually difficult for authors to keep upping the ante when the protagonists become more and more powerful but this series and the third book absolutely does a great job

The story keeps you involved and waiting to see the fate of the characters.
I like this series. The stories are different. Like the cast of characters. Never know for sure what they are going to do next or discover!

Good plot ideas but unappealing writing style
I finished the ‘trilogy’ which ended on a new beginning but I’ve had my fill. Respect to the author for the great achievement of producing this work and the plot is actually very good, with some impressive twists. Unfortunately, the geneology is quite convoluted and just too much of a mind bender, especially due to the reincarnations. On a personal note however, I really found the writing style unappealing, and it has put me off any further books from this author. It is very… ‘American slang’ and whilst I am not exactly in search of Tolkien, it was too inelegant for my taste. I admire this author and her achievements nevertheless.

Totally awesome
Another excellent instalment in a series that is turning into one of my firm favourites! After a rocky start, where I had to remind myself who everyone was the convoluted ways in which they all seem to be related, I literally couldn’t put it down. I found myself raging and exasperated at the plot twists and turns and I suspect I’ll be awake tonight wondering about what is going to happen next! Roll on book 4

Messy execution and random mess
This book and indeed this series has so much promise but for an author who seems to want to spend so much time on interpersonal relationships she really isn't that good at writing them or really understanding her characters motivation.Don't bother reading this. The plot barely evolves and the worldbuilding has great intent and yet misses the mark often with very rough execution.Characters read like a bad fanfiction to the point where I feel the author spends too much time watching soap operas. The idea of characters commenting on points raised as notations is a fun and interesting device, which does help the mediocare story along however. So the story gets some points for that.

Whoa!
Didn’t expect that - so as not to drop any hints - you’ll just have to read it - enjoy. I did.

Continuing Journey
We were introduced to characters that grabbed us and had us wanting to know more in Ruin of Kings. The Name of All Things had us questioning the direction of the journey but enjoying the unveiling of more depth and background. The Memory of Souls has us well immersed and enjoying were we are being taken. I certainly recommend this series to those that enjoy Feist, Winter, Hearne, etc. For those of us that enjoy young characters getting thrown into the unknown with some magic, swordplay and battles to work though.
